*Beep, beep, beep, beep*

"Ugh." I groaned. I hated the sound of my alarm clock going off in the morning. It had to be one of the worst sounds in the world. It was letting me know it was 6:30. Time to get ready for school.

I hated Mondays. They were always slow days for me. They seemed long and dragged out.

I reluctantly dragged my butt out of bed and headed for the bathroom.

I looked in the mirror and grimaced. My hair looked like a birds nest and my eyes were puffy. For some reason my lips are always swollen in the mornings. Sometimes I wonder if it's from a bad dream or me just biting them in my sleep. Who knows? I wish they were always like that though; they looked much fuller.

I dragged a brush through my blonde hair. Much better.

I started putting my makeup on. I didn't use much, just some brown eyeliner and brown eye shadow to compliment the color of my eyes. A little mascara and I'm good to go.

For some reason I have never had a zit in my whole life! Thus leading to no foundation for me. I didn't need it. It was strange. I started puberty when I was 14 so I really don't know why i've never had one.

I grabbed my bag off the end of my dresser and headed downstairs for breakfast.

When I opened the door of my room the smell of bacon and pancakes hit me. Yum!

I ran downstairs excitedly. This always meant that mom and dad were in a good mood.

"Sierra," my mom said, looking up from her place at the stove. "You're down here quicker than usual."

"Yup! The bacon was beckoning me! I couldn't resist." I said with a smile.

She smiled at me and handed me a plate of three pancakes. I always got my own bacon so I could pile it heavily onto my plate.

My dad walked in and did a double take.

"Sierra, have you seen my bacon? I think I lost it on your plate!" He said sarcastically and gave me a quick kiss on the forehead.

"Haha dad, that was so funny I forgot to laugh." But I couldn't hide the smile playing on my lips.

"Just trying to start the day off with a laugh sweetheart." He said before loading his plate down with bacon too.

"I swear you too are going to eat everything before I have the chance to even try and eat!" Mom said with a pout.

"Awww, mommy," I said, conjuring up the best little girl voice I could mange. "I'm sorry! Will you ever find it in your heart to forgive me?" I added the last part for dramatic affect.

She reached across the little island we had in the middle of the kitchen and smacked me on the head.

Dad and me looked at each other and started bursting out with laughter.

Mom gave us both the "you're gonna get it" look.

I pulled out my phone to check the time. It was 7:35. I couldn't help but notice that Xhex still hadn't called or texted me. Go figure.

"Well, I guess I'm off to school."

"Be careful today Sierra, there's supposed to be chances of thunderstorms." My dad called before I shut the door behind me.

I walked over to the shiny little blue Lexus I got for my sixteenth birthday. It wasn't the Mustang I had wanted since I was 7 years old, but it was cute, and my friends loved it.

When I arrived at "Rivera High" the parking lot was almost full with all the new freshman and their expensive corvettes and Lamborghini's. I saw Kayla's familiar black ford focus and parked beside it.
