The Prince’s Hunter
In Ireland outside the known human territories in a place where you may never travel; there is a forest, one of prosperity and magic. However this is no ordinary forest, it is the kingdom of Ríocht. With lush farmland and an abundant Fay population, Ríocht is the biggest kingdom this side of the Atlantic ocean. The Fay are known to humans as mythical creatures, like fairies or pixies, elves and whatnot. This kingdom is ruled by a small family line, the Sproos. Their elven line currently consists of the current king and his son Fiel.
Beep, Beep, Beep! Fiel hits the alarm with rather too much force as it shoots across the room from his nightstand next to his bed, this subsequently ends with the alarm shattering on the opposite wall on the other side of the room.
“Damn it,” cursed Fiel. “that was expensive.”
Fiel rises from his bed with a groggy sway and goes to inspect the damage. Having swept up the cogs and gears spread across the room he proceeds to make himself look presentable for the court. Nested in a lavesh room with plush sheets and gold adornments he walks into his large closet. He snags himself a black tunic with matching pants and a cream color trench coat. He inspects himself in the mirror.
I am trying to go for a stylish vibe. Hmm maybe I should wear heels with it. Fiel puts on a pair of black heels looking at himself in the mirror as he approves of his decision. With his 5’6” stature, almost stark white hair, elvish fair skin, and a violet-eyed freckled face; his outfit looks ravishing.
He saunters out of the bedroom and down the long lavish corridors of his palace, he comes upon the grand double doors to the reception hall; where royalty greets guests and grangers. God, I hope it is not another marriage proposition. Fiel peeks his head in, only to see exactly what he feared.
“Fiel good of you to rise from the dead,” the king jokingly remarks.
“Prince Fiel; what an honor it is to see you well,” said the queen of a country Fiel cared not to know the name of.
“Good morning everyone, what were we discussing?” Fiel curiously asked’ cocking his head as if he were a dog.
“We were discussing wedding arrangements for the event tomorrow,” king Sproos replied with a happy ear to ear grin.
As he spoke Fiel found himself walking over to the food place at the corner closed to him in the room. Plating himself a hefty amount of sweets and meat he proceeded to scowl at the queen now gauging his reaction to his fathers words.
“I have told you time and time again, I don't want a marriage arrangement nor do I want a female partner! ” sanped Fiel.
Fields father’s expression darkened and he remained silent for a time. The queen of a country unknown looked back and forth between the two as they took on roles in a deadly staring match.
“Ok! That sounds like my cue to leave,” the queen abruptly states as she slaps her hands together gaining the king and Fiels attention.
“Oh, you really don't have to go, we didn't finish our planning discussions,” the king sadly said.
“That's ok, we can finish them another time. How does lunch tomorrow sound just before the ceremony takes place?” questions the queen in a hurry as she makes her escape.
“Sounds like a plan,” the king agrees. As he turns himself back around to the snacking soon to be king of his beloved kingdom. “I told you to watch what you say and be on your best behavior, this is not how a king acts.”
