Hello, it's your friendly neighborhood editor, Raisha! I'm here to edit this, so now I have!

Shadow's POV/Shadow's Flashback:

Shadow remembered it like it was yesterday.

"He should have been back by now!" She had yelled at Meilin. Meilin had done her best to calm Shadow, but it hadn't worked she had kept on crying and crying. Xanthe came and sat beside her and to let Meilin go to sleep that night.

"I'm sorry." Xanthe had said. Tears formed in Shadow's eyes at the memory of her friend, but she pushed them aside.

"Don't be." Shadow had sniveled. Xanthe had stayed with Shadow until the morning. Worthy had been over a day late and by that point and Shadow was more than scared.

"What will you do if he doesn't come back?" Xanthe had asked.

"Die." She had said simply. The shock on Xanthe's face had been something so unparalleled that Shadow wished she had never seen it. "Die of grief. I can't live without him." Xanthe had hugged her so tightly then. The Sadren girl had always been good at that.

"I know how you feel." She had told Shadow. "I couldn't live without Takoda." Xanthe had gone inside when the sun came up, and Raisha came to sit with Shadow, waiting for the boat to arrive. It was midday when it did, and Shadow couldn't remeber being more relieved in her entire life.

"WORTHY!" She had cried the second she had seen his handsome form. She ran to him and threw her arms around him sobbing as she did so.

Jolt had come off the ship too, and seeing as that was before none of them had any idea what was going to happen between the other couple standing there, he had simply spoken to Raisha since Worthow was obviously busy.

Shadow hadn't listened to their conversion, but now she wished she had. But it was in that moment of time she knew it was right. It had happened before three times in fact so it could happen a fourth time. Walking inside she hadn't let go of Worthy, even when Dawson had tried to speak to him and give him a hug, but Shadow had refused to let go.

That night at dinner she had sat next to him. Obviously, looking back Shadow thought she must have looked silly clinging to the boy like that, but she had been so terrified for his life that she didn't care.

"Shadow?" Tasha had asked before dropping a meat bun that Song had picked up and eaten even though it had been on the floor.

"Yes?" She had replied. She hadn't been eating she didn't eat when she was scared.

"Are you glued to Worthy? Did Rollan prank you?" She remembered blushing so badly she probably would have looked like a tomato. Worthy's calm face gave away nothing.

"No." She said.

"So then why won't you let him go?"

"I-I umm..." Shadow hadn't known what to say.

"She just needs reassurance right now." Worthy had said, his words filled with love and purpose. Tasha looked at them.

"Yeah." She said.

"Aw, come on I never cling to Meilin like that," Said Rollan. "Even after I thought she died."

"So you admit you like her?" Shadow had teased.

"N-no, I- " He had been lost for words, and had made a grumpy face. It was so funny that even just remembering it made Shadow laugh.

"She isn't the same person as Meilin." Worthy said. Why was he so good at recusing her time and time again? "She is far more sensitive, and she was scared. Besides, if holding onto me makes her happy again then I'll let it be."

Shadow knew how weird she had been then, and was embarrassed to look back at that. But she told herself there was nothing wrong with being weird, and doing weird things was part of being weird, and she was weird right? She remembered her cousin telling her that weird people are wonderful and normal people are the real weird people. (true XD tellun my ril cosuins r amazing tho-)

Later that night Shadow finally let go of Worthy's hand, confident he was really here and knowing he wasn't going away again.

"Worthy?" She asked. She didn't feel at all uncomfortable even though she knew she should have.

"Yes?" He said.

"I know I've already asked you this once and twice before, and also a third time, but will you marry me again?"

"Shadow of course!" He hugged her. She loved her husband, he was the most perfect idiot in the universe; his thick dark hair, his heroic yellow cat eyes, and of course his tail, the bit that made Worthy himself. She still loved him every bit as much now as she did then, if not more.

After all, he was her Worthy. And she was his Shadow.

And they were together, and would always be.
