'Normal' was the best word to describe Lauren Kelly. Normal brown hair, normal dark brown eyes, and a normal body. There was nothing spectacular about Lauren ,or Laur as she is referred to by many, but she had a sense of mystery that attracted the most unlikely guys.

Lauren POV.
"Get your butt up Lauren!", yelled my mom.
I absolutely hate school and I don't understand why I have to wake up at the butt crack of dawn to get ready.
"You better be up and out of bed before I get up there young lady", demanded my mom.
"Ughhh. Why can't I just skip school and have one more day of summer!"
"Because this is your very first day at a new school with new people. Please try to think of it as a fresh start honey. And besides senior year is very important and I would not like for my beautiful daughter to be late!", implied my mother.
As much as I don't want to admit it, she does have a point. This year is a fresh start far away from my past fears and mistakes. I have to say it is quite refreshing to be able to start over.
After rushing to get ready by just doing my normal hair and light makeup and throwing on a pair of jean shorts and a random shirt out of my closet along with my favorite pair of converse. I ran down the stairs to head to school.
"Bye Mom and Dad!" I yelled while leaving the house.
"Have a good day! I love you!", they chimed as I was walking out the door.
Then I adventured on my short walk to school. It was not a long distance to walk but it was almost long enough to make you want to take a car or a bike or anything for that matter. But getting some fresh air is always good for you.
After about 15 minutes I could see the huge high school in the distance. There were probably over 2,500 students that attended.
My heart started to race. I don't know anything about this school or anybody that goes here or where anything is.
"I'm screwed", the last words that I murmured before entering the front doors.

A.N. Short first chapter. This is my first book to write and no I don't expect it to be as good as many other books out right now. The reason that I am writing is so I can improve on my writing. Also this book is going to be different from anything you have ever read so don't think by just the boring beginning that it is going to be cliché because that is not the case!
