I knew how to get to Eren's house on my own now, so it wasn't too hard to find.

I figured it was a little strange for me to just show up at his house, but Jaeger has had a habit of showing up when he's unwanted as well. So I might as well give him a taste of it.

I had no idea if he was even at home, or if he was sick or something, but on my walk over, I felt a newfound determination. If Eren was going to try to slack off all of the sudden, I wasn't going to let him. If he was going to get in the way of everything I'd been doing, and making all the work I've done meaningless...

I didn't hesitate to head over, despite the fact that I was unwelcome. I'd left the school as soon as history was over, another class he didn't bother to show up to.

I had the right to be curious about him, didn't I? I couldn't exactly do all the work without him.

I was planning on talking to Mikasa at one point, but she'd pretty much disappeared as soon as class was over. I had no idea if she was back at home with Eren, or if she was off with Armin somewhere.

It didn't matter. Either way, I still needed to talk to him, and he was being extremely petty by not answering my texts.

Eventually, his house came into view, and I crossed the street, making my way over. Suddenly though, I began to feel nervous. Maybe this was a bad idea...

I didn't give myself time to think about it, instead forcing my body to take step by step to his door.

I stood on his front porch, hesitating before knocking, holding my hands together—

"What are you doing here," I heard a deep male voice say from behind me—one that I recognized all too well.

I cringed at his unwelcoming tone, but I turned nonetheless, hiding it as I faced Eren.

He stood behind me in sweats and a dark blue hoodie, his dark hair up in his usual messy knot, with his green eyes glaring down at me. I could tell he definitely was in some sort of mood.

"I came to talk to you. You never answered my texts," I replied, standing up straight.

He pushed past me to open the door I was standing in front of. "They weren't worth responding to." His voice was sharp and his words were clipped as he spoke without looking at me.

I glowered at his back. "I don't give a damn—you suddenly just disappear for a week, not giving me anything but your half of the report."

He didn't say anything, merely unlocking his door and heading inside. He stood in his doorway, turning around to glower at me. "So?"

Asshole. "What do you mean 'so'? Its rude. I cant do the work without you."

He gave me a dead look. "What exactly did you come here to talk to me about?" Without warning, he walked inside his house, leaving the door open.

I took that as invitation to walk inside, closing the door behind me.

Eren made his way into his kitchen, opening his fridge and looking around inside it as I followed him into his somewhat smaller kitchen.

"I came to talk to you about the project. It's spring break and we don't even have any ideas yet—"

"And why do you care all of the sudden?" he cut me off.

I stopped. "What?"

"You never cared before—why start now?" His words were coated with ice.

I squared my shoulders, not allowing his blows to hit. "Because I have to."
