"I'm not a sicko. I'm a collector, and these new items have such sentimental value to me."

- Piedmon

"Am I... the only one kinda freaked out... by the fact that he's walking?" Nina grunted with heavy breaths, readjusting her grip around the man's wrist. On the other side of the man, Jane was also growing exhausted. She looked down at her feet and felt the ache in her legs. "Let's just...  be glad that he is, " she heaved in response. The two girls walked with one arm each over their shoulders, as if they were helping a wounded soldier out of crossfire. The man limping in between them was much heavier than they had expected however, even if there were two of them. Lopmon and Dorumon walked ahead of the three humans. They both felt a bit bad that they were far too short to help out as crutches. Behind the group, the tired Guilmon just tried to focus on putting one foot down after another. Soon, he reassured himself, soon he could rest. There was a mutual sigh of relief as they finally reached the door to the apartment.

Once inside, Jane paused and glanced at her friend. "Where... Where do we put him down?" she asked, though she was soon forced to follow the direction Nina was pulling them in. "Whatever's closest!  my back is killing me," Nina groaned and quickly lead them into the first room they reached. The sudden turn made Jane bump the wall on the way in. "Hey!--...  Wait wait, hold on, we can't put him in my room!" she exclaimed upon realizing where they were. Nina had already set her sights on their destination though, and stubbornly dragged them over to the bed. "Well I don't want him in mine," she snarled as she let go of the man. The weight instantly became too much, and Jane was also forced to release her grip and allow him onto her bed. Both the girls sunk to the floor to catch their breaths, but Jane still insisted on continuing the argument.

"We could have put him on the couch, you know!"

"Yeah? Well, you're more than free to move him there on your own, dude."

"Nina--"

"Look, I don't set a lot of rules around here! But I think it's pretty fair that your weird dying boyfriend goes in your bed."

Nina leaned back against the drawer behind her and rubbed her eyes. Jane scoffed and glared at her.

"You're not funny."

"You're not giving me much to work with here."

"Oh, the tragedy."

"It's all good. I forgive you."

"Thank God for that."

"Save the gratitude for later, I might've just got you laid."

"I think you should be quiet now, Nina."

"Alright."

Motion sensor lights flicked on as the black car rolled into the warehouse. Annie stepped out of the parked vehicle, worn out after a long day's work. Being outside for any amount of time was something she really didn't care for. Unless it was a luxury resort, it was all just a big hassle. She stretched and reached into her coat pockets for another cigarette. "Come on, I need to check on a few more things, " she said, heading further into the building. The Digimon in her company followed obediently. The woman felt no need to look back and confirm his presence - after all, she had no doubt in her own programming. If she at any point did find a flaw in his behavior, if he ever disobeyed, she would simply break him down and build him back up. Over and over again until he was perfect. As far as she was concerned at the moment, the modified Black Gabumon was as close to perfect you could get.
