Victor Brazen a.k.a. Pop candy is now in our custody, he’s 36 years old, six feet tall, biology teacher at Mary Knoll High, no family, never been married, lives at Pinewood drive. According to report about his history Victor Brazen is shy, but he’s a good teacher.
Captain Fuller asks to do the interrogation; at first Victor was hesitant but our Cpt. have a certain style interrogating a suspect. He demonstrates functional knowledge. At first Victor Brazen was reluctant but when our Captain demonstrate extreme tactics, Victor Brazen sings with a proper note.
He told us the location of Vanessa Mitchell and Kate Warner, they were hidden in his basement, and my team went to Victor Brazen place at Pinewood Drive. We caught Vanessa and Kate in a good condition. They were in a sound proof room with clean restroom and separate beds. There’s a refrigerator with food and drinks. There’s also clean clothing for them.
Aside from Vanessa and Kate locked down at Victor’s sound proof basement we gather some more evidence, and Victor Brazen is really the Pop Candy, he kept memento from his other victims as trophies. Forensics confirmed the matches DNA and fingerprints of his other victims.
There were typewriter he used to send message at our office, there's also the camera he used and copy of pictures of his victim dead and alive and there are cases of soda pop and boxes of popping candy in the same room where he hide his victims.
Pop candy case is closed.

Our Captain throws a victory party for us. Everybody were happy, there we’re drinks and food. According to our Captain, the good mayor of Ores town has been kind to rent the restaurant where we celebrate our victory.
The mayor attends the party to present the award for me and to Hank for catching Pop Candy. The rest of my team, Pete Garrison and Marty Talons including the four other operatives were given a plaque of appreciation for their courage and determination.
After the awards, I went to the bar to ask for some ice water, this is a joyous moment but I’m not really in the mood to drink. Hank came over; we were talking when my partner and Pete interrupt.
MARTY TALONS:”I would like to congratulate both of you.”
PETE GARRISON:”For a job well done.”
ME:”We would have never done it without you guys.”
MARTY TALONS:”You two were the one who catch pop candy; we didn’t know you watched Claire Ann Watson, so technically this is all yours guys, good work.”
PETE GARRISON:”Actually, Marty and I were quite disappointed that you kept us in the dark, but then since you did catch the guy, you two are forgiven.”
MARTY TALONS:”Next time, care to share your plans because we are a team and you do not keep your team in the dark.”
ME:”I’m so sorry about that.”
Captain Fuller came to us and order one shot of tequila, I tend to refuse but our Cpt. and the rest of my team insists, we toast and drink, later it’s just me and my partner were left at the bar, he do casual drinking while we talk about the good days, I looked at my watch it’s ten pm I told him I can’t stay any longer.
MARTY TALONS:”C’mon, our case is over can’t you relax a little bit.
ME:”You know what would relax me, cleaning our board at the office, erasing those data’s, remove all those pictures and put in a box, sealed it with a tape that has a “case closed” written in it. That is how and should I celebrate.”
MARTY TALONS:”Are you going to do it now?”
ME:”I don’t know, I have to go, really, see you tomorrow partner.”
MARTY TALONS:”Alright, just be careful Gabriela.”
ME:”Don’t call me that!”
My partner just laugh and wave, from the restaurant I went straight to our office, I sat on my chair and watch our board with triumph. “Finally, it’s over” when Victor Brazen was asks by our Cpt. why he addresses the note to me, he said he heard of my achievements and he just wanted to try how good I am.
“Apparently, she’s not really that good.” Victor Brazen said with a smirk on his face. “Five girls with potential needs to die and two of them need to be missing, if only I’ve been patient she would have never catch me.”
It doesn’t matter whether I am good or not, it’s sad that five lives had been taken, but what really important is we saved three more lives, and we solved the case. Pop Candy will be a history.
I stand up and looked at the board for the last time, I sigh with relief, I will put everything in a box, and I mean everything including my rage at this case. It’s over; tomorrow is a new day for me and this office.
As I removed the pictures from the board I noticed something, the burns in the victim’s body. All of them have a cigarette burn at their left palm; I examined it thoroughly and notice that all of them have the same exact place, an inch lower to the joint of their thumb.
I know that burn, I’ve seen it already, and it’s no longer a burn but a scar from that same cigarette burn. I look at the hand written note send to us by pop candy after I analyzed how it was written I compare the notes we have in our office to prove my suspicion.
“It can’t be!” I said to myself, evidence are at my face yet I am in denial, I took the note of pop candy together with the note I am comparing to, there was this board with light we used so we can see the evidence clearly.
There was an initial signature at pop candy’s note, as I put the other note the initials match.
“Sweet Jesus Mother of God, how can I be so stupid!”
I took my cell phone instantly but before I can dial a number someone cover my nose through my mouth, I smelled a sharp suffocating odor, I hold my breath and fought but the person who holds me is to strong, I failed till I run out of breath, then darkness.
