16 Eternal Battle

I quickly shake Harmony awake. She wakes up looking a little startled until she sees Grace awake and well. At this a large grin engulfs Harmony's face and her and Grace embrace.
After about a minute they release each other and smile until a husky voice interrupts the moment.
"It appears that her vitals are perfectly fine,improved in fact. Her muscle mass has improved and her brain is running at full speed." Victors says as he looks down at he's smartphone.
"Oh,hello Grace. It appears your fangs have returned as well. How marvellous." Victor says,finishing his sentence with some sarcasm.
Grace quickly starts feeling around in her mouth with her right hand for fangs until she quickly draws her hand out,blood now coming from two small wounds. She looks at us all,her face filled with fear.
"So I am a monster then." Grace says as she looks at her wounded hand,tears forming in her hazel eyes.
"You are no monster,you are my friend." I say quietly as I embrace Grace,my body turning into that of a large wolf on two legs, "I am the monster here,not you."
I feel Harmony join into the embrace,her smaller form rapping us both up. Another set of arms join in,those of Victor,big and hairy.
We remain like this for at least five minutes until I hear footsteps behind us.
I quickly turn around,changing back into my normal form. I see Jaidyn standing in the entry way,his entire body covered in armour.
"We need to leave,an enormous human attack force will be here in twenty minutes max. Do not worry,I did not see anything. Get all your gear and get to the vehicle bay." Jaidyn says,his tone firm.
Harmony quickly steps forward,her armour forming around her.
"Jaidyn,go tell everyone to get into their teams and get to a vehicle." Harmony says to Jaidyn before she turns to me,Grace and Victor, "As for you three,do the same. Get armoured up and get to a vehicle. GO!!!!!"
Grace gets off the bed and begins to lead the way to the tech lab to retrieve our armour. We all quickly get our armour on and run to the hanger.
"Follow me." Victor instructs,gesturing for me and grace to follow.
We come to a door at the far side of the hanger,large and made of steel. We go through the door to find five armoured cars,all mat-black and in a line.
"I am driving. I have my learners licence." Grace says running to the drivers door.
Victor and I look at each other.
"Well I cannot drive." We both say in unison with a shrug.
I quickly get into the passenger seat and Victor gets into the back,he's large mass rocking the vehicle. Suddenly the platform beneath our car begins to rise until we rise to a large,plain desert. It is night and the full moon is high in the sky.
I look to the dark horizon to see at least six large figures that are at least ten to fifteen metres tall.
I feel the car jerk as we begin to move. Shortly two more vehicles join us. Jaidyn and Alasdair in one,Harmony's team in the other.
The large figures slowly are revealed by the moonlight. Six huge robots with huge rifles stand before us. The torso of the machines are easily the size of a car.
"What are those?" I say,my voice possessing a slight tremble.
"Those are what you call M.A.S or Mobile Attack Suits." Victor replies as he pushes a few buttons on his armoured arm, "We need to distract them for a few minutes."
"Why is that?" Grace asks,her voice filled with curiosity.
"Because I made some of my own." Victor says with a smile forming on his dog like face.
"Reath,tell the others that we need to distract the M.A.S.' for a few minutes." Grace commands,her face filled with concentration.
I activate the communication channel to the other vehicles.
"Victor needs us to distract the enemy for a few minutes. I will lead the attack." I shout inside my helmet.
I open the door and jump out,pushing the back closed as I do. I land On my feet and slide for a bit on the rocky surface. I begin to run towards the towering metal beasts,their huge weapons now pointed at my small form,the sound of automatic gun fire begins fill the air.
I dodge and weave to avoid the incoming bullets,only a few managing to scrape my armour. I draw my rifle and to begin to fire at the closet M.A.S.(which is about seventy metres away),but my bullets are stopped by a spherical energy shield that surrounds it. I quickly put my gun away and begin to summon shadows to my right hand,a small orb of dark energy forming. I throw it at the M.A.S. instead of bullets. The black makes contact with the energy shield and the shield instantly explodes with static. But to my dismay the shield recharges and reforms within fifteen seconds. I continue this process with the Mobile Attack Suit for a few minutes until our fight is interrupted with me being picked up by a huge metallic hand an placed in the torso of a M.A.S. One of Victor's to be precise. It appears to be about a metre or two shorter then the humans' Mobile Attack Suits. The place I am in is small and dark,but with enough space for full movement. Suddenly I feel something attaching itself along the back of my armour and my arms and legs. The area in front of me lights up and shows my surroundings,along with a pair of large metal arms.
I here a Victor's voice inside my helmet,
"I designed these suits to be compatible with the armour I designed,which you,Jaidyn and Grace possess. The things you felt attach to your armour will process what you do and make the M.A.S. do it. They also equipped with an energy weapon which is located in the right hand,a automatic cannon that shoots fifty-five millimetre shell,that is located on your back. A blade can also be ejected from the right forearm. Have fun kids!
I reach to my back and as I do,I see the suits arm reach behind its back. I hear the hand hit something,so I tighten my grip and pull the arm back to the front. A large rifle is now in my hands,the magazine placed just in front of the trigger with two spares placed near the stock.
"You lead,we will follow." I hear Jaidyn say.
I look to the line the humans have now formed in front of us.
"We will each take two. I will take middle.Jaidyn,you take right and Grace,you take left." I command.
I begin to sprint at the enemy,their gunfire now bounces of the energy shield around me. I begin to charge the weapon as I approach,a ball of bright blue electricity now in my hand as I hold the gun in my left. I hit the closest M.A.S. with the ball of electricity which shatters its shield and then I eject the blade in the forearm immediately after. The blade springs out of a slot above the hand and pierces the enemy right in the torso,killing the human pilot.
Without withdrawing the blade,I turn to the other M.A.S. to my left and begin to fire,the large rounds rapidly diminishing it shield then turning the metal suit within to scraps.
I check on Jaidyn and Grace to see that they have both eliminated the enemy. I look the blade that is buried in the now dead M.A.S. I quickly withdraw the blade and retract it in to arm.
"Many more are approaching,at least thirty. We must retreat or we will die." Grace points out, "The others have already retreated to our back up base."
"These things combine into a large vehicle." Jaidyn states.
We all approach each other and link arms. The suits begin to shift and move until it is a large mat-black hover car type thing. The interior is the size of a normal car,but with only three black seats,which we are already seated in. I am in the centre,with Grace to my left and Jaidyn to my right.
"What now?" I say looking around.
"We relax,this thing drives itself. It will take us about three or four hours to get to the temple."
"What temple?" Grace asks.
"The temple of light and dark." Jaidyn answers.
"That is a little tacky." I say as I raise an eyebrow.
"Agreed." Jaidyn replies looking down.
