When the alarm went off i was already awake.
Maybe still awake.
The only thing i could think about was how I will fail again today.
How i will disappoint my aunt again, how i will scare all the other students again.

But my powers scare myself as well.
But for who knows why I'm forced to use my life to hurt other people, until I can control them.

I decided to get up and get ready for another day at the academy, another boring day where i will probably hurt someone else or myself.

We don't have much time to prepare in the morning, not because the rules are strict but simply because we have uniforms, of course slightly different for each royal family.
The Haimon, empaths, have yellow ties, i believe they match with their golden eyes.
The shapeshifters, the house of Edrea, have green jackets or skirts, I have purple t-shirts that i love wearing with a corset and the Laren's uniforms were supposed to be light blue, but we haven't seen someone with telekinesis powers in a while now, so i guess those uniforms have been lost for years.

I take my backpack and run up the immense stairs of my dormitory's atrium to reach the corridors, always full of students waiting to enter their classes.
I admit it's a bit confusing at eight in the morning but i got used to it.

I like admiring happy people with friends, how they interact, their expressions, all the small gestures that show affection.
How they greet each other every morning and have breakfast together, the smile on their faces revealing that the day will be more tolerable with them.

I also walk to go to breakfast,
but alone.

People move as I walk past them, a path opens up through the murmuring crowd
and i walk through it with confidence,
I would never let notice the emptiness that this creates in me.

I start to examine the crowd as i walk, everyone was looking at me, some of them were worried, some disgusted, others angry.
I didn't care.

I'm at the canteen's entrance when my gaze passes quickly over the Haimon group.
I spot something different,
two people from behind not only with a different uniform but also with a sort of blue vibration that surrounded them, I can't really explain it but i could clearly see a brighter light that stood out in the crowd.

I begin to ask myself a thousand questions until one of them turns towards me.

Even if i try I can't look at anything else but his cold eyes.
His bright blue eyes carved in ice digging deep in my soul in less then a second.

Aydan's point of view

"i'm starving"
i hear Brielle complaining

"don't worry, they serve delicious cookies on Tuesday mornings"
Revon replies

"Yeah, i'm sure the food will certainly not be older than these walls"

"this school is older than you think, Aydan"

Revon showed us every inch of the
academy but i still don't understand how this will help me to settle in a place so unknown to my eyes.
I practically don't know anything of
this culture.

"c'mon, this way"
Revon led us through the crowd but i stopped as i saw all the people staring at a girl.
Her long black hair contrasted her cadaveric skin and her red full lips attracted me in some strange way.
I turn to ask Revon her name but Brielle was starring at me impatiently so I kept walking.

"Sophia Eden Sephtis" i hear him whispering
"what?" i ask confused
"the girl you were looking at"
i didn't say anything
"why was everyone starring at her?"
Brielle asked him
"I mean, have you seen her or are you guys blind?" he laughed
"but people seemed to want to avoid her"
"As they should"
Revon turned serious.
I can't help but thinking why.
I want to look at her again to understand what's so dangerous to avoid.
I turn around to find her eyes but they were already on me,
but this time they weren't brown but red as blood.
