"The beginning is always bitter, the end is always sweet." - Shakira Begum
JULIA
"Don't you dare!" Casandra warned. Bart grinned mischievously, before picking it up and eating the cake. Casandra growled like a bear and lunged forward, hitting Bart straight on the chest, he smiled at her failed attempt to hurt him. He was built like a brick, so she could pound her fists all day and it wouldn't so much as leave a bruise on him. She gave up and rested her head on his chest, " It's my birthday, and you ate my cake. You're mean!" She said, sounding like a child.
Bart looked down at her, the same loving eyes he had for her since the day they met. Slowly he reveled a new cake slice from behind him, bigger than the last. Casandra yelped, grabbing it from him, before snuggling closer to him before she dug in. " I love you casandra," Bart said. Casandra ignored him like she always did and continued eating the cake. I smiled watching them. No they weren't together. But they sure acted like it. I felt sorry for Bart, he couldn't be completely sure if Casandra liked him back. Everyone knew she did though, so I'm sure they'll be fine.
I got out of my seat and made my way to the kitchen, the king sat on the chair, more than three plates of food in front of him. Opposite him sat Leo, with just as many plates. I rolled my eyes, " Are you two having another food eating competition? " I asked.
"Yep," a voice said from behind me. Edward and Elizabeth were carrying more plates towards them, and settling it on the table.
I couldn't help but cringe at the amout of food, two people were planning on consuming. Ever since the games, six months ago, Leo and his dad have gotten a lot closer. It may have something to do with Leo taking his Prince duties a bit more seriously, but if you ask me, Uncle was tired of distancing himself from his son.
"Careful Leo, if you eat too much you'll get fat," I taunted, " And whose going to be unlucky enough to marry a fat prince, with an ego just as big?"
Leo looked up at me and moved to stand in front of me, he wrapped an arm around my waist. His green eyes that were once full of sadnedd now radiated laughter. " Just some unlucky girl that had the misfortune of falling for me," he replied in a whisper.
I didn't even see it coming, though I should have expected it from Leo. One minute he was there, with his arms around me, and the next he was next to Edward who recorded the pie, as it slipped down my face.
"LEO!" I screamed, " I'm going to kill you!" Leo took off with a running start and I chased after him. Not bothering to get rid of the pie from my face. There was no time, I had to carry out a murder first.
Six months ago, Leo and I officially started going out. But not much changed between us, but at the same time everything changed. We're a lot closer than we used to be. We still argue a hell of a lot. But we also have fun.
I tackled Leo onto the ground and he laughed as he flipped us over. He looked at my face and began to laugh, trailing a finger across my cheek, he licked his finger, " Yum, strawberry."
I scrunched up my nose, " Grose," I muttered. Leo laughed again, and I smiled. He leaned forward till our noses were touching, flipping us over so I was under him. He smiled down at me," Julia, " he whispered. "Yeah," I responded, my eyes absorbed by his green ones, my heart beat synchronised with his, my hands entwined with his hands, " I broke your phone."
He got up and ran before I could stop him. Balling my hands into fists, I screamed after him, "Leo, I'm going to kill you!" And I was, after I got this pie off my face.
