Chapter 16: The 57th Expedition Pt.2

 The team regrouped with (Y/N) and they watched the female titan run away.

"(Y/N) can we follow that titan?" Armin asked.

"We keep a safe distance and follow it, we could get some more information,"

(Y/N) watched as Annie ran away, he directed his horse and ran after her. The squad followed him.

"This seems like a dumb idea," Connie said.

"I second that," Jean said.

"(Y/N)'s full of dumb ideas," Pieck said.

"Ok it's personal now," (Y/N) said.

"Im just saying usually you have good idea but this one inparticular is dumb," Connie said.

"Most of his ideas are dumb," Jean joked.

"Guys i'm here, like hearing this right now," (Y/N) said.

"We know,"

They kept riding and they saw a green flare to their left. (Y/N) saw it come from the forest. He turned to the large forest and the female titan kept running straight. The rest of his team followed close as they approached the forest. He stopped near one of the trees.

"Tie up the horses at the base of the tree, get in the trees and stay put,"

"For what?"

"I don't know fully but the commander shared a plan with the captains and section commanders,"

The squad began to tie up the horses and they flew up into the branches of the tree. (Y/N) went up to the branches and ordered them one last time.

"Stay in the trees and don't engage any titans, we're minimizing casualties. I will shoot a white smoke flare for you guys if I need help," And with that he jumped off the edge of the branch and flew towards the center of the forest.

(Y/N) flew through the massive trees as fast as he could. He eventually got to the middle and landed on the ground next to Hange, Moblit and Miche. He saw four machines with almost three dozen speartips on the front of them. (Y/N) stared at the machines and quickly figured out they were for restraining titans. He looked up into the branches and saw many soldiers poised for the kill. He also saw Erwin staring down at the ground. Erwin and (Y/N) exchanged glances. (Y/N) looked away and felt a shiver down his spine.

"Oh (Y/N)! Did you see it, the abnormal?" Hange said getting a little too close and being overly excited.

"The red and white one, yeah, me and my squad encountered it killing another squad. It didn't kill us, obviously,"

"We're gonna catch it and experiment on it,"

"Section Commander,"

"Don't be so worried all the time Moblit,"

"He's got a right to be worried when he has to deal with you all the time," (Y/N) heard Levi asy as he walked over to resupply his weapons and gas.

"Uh-huh, don't listen to Levi, he can be a bit blunt sometimes," Hange said.

"Anyway, Tybur, follow me up into the trees, we're waiting for the abnormal," Levi said. He attached his anchors and flew up to the trees. (Y/N) followed shortly after and landed beside Levi and Erwin. (Y/N) watched all of the other scouts on the ground, he squatted down and put his right elbow on his right knee letting the rest of his arm dangle for a short break.
