Harry finds Ron and Hermione arguing in the Gryffindor common room. He stops in the doorway to watch them. Hermione is correcting Ron on a very minor pronunciation error in a spell he's reciting. In response, Ron is defensive and huffy. Every ten seconds, they stop, look into each other's eyes, and almost touch hands. Then they pull away and arguing continues.

"They're so fucking annoying," Harry mutters to himself. Then he walks into the room, making himself known. "Guys. Here's the sitch. Spring break. Grimsbogg Beach. It's gonna be CRAAAAZY. You in?!" Ron's eyes light up. He's always wanted to go to Grimsbogg.

"BRO, I'M TOTES IN!" He immediately starts packing. Hermione is frowning. Her arms are folded.

"Harry, this is irresponsible. We should be studying over the break. You need to figure out how to defeat Voldemort."

'I knew this was gonna be difficult,' thinks Harry. 'I have to think of something fast.' "Grimsbogg Beach has a library there you know?"

"Harry Potter, I know for a fact that's not true," says Hermione. "The fact that you're lying to me is really deterring me from joining you on this trip. I think I'll just stay at Hogwarts and study up on how to defeat Voldemort so I can do all the work for you when he tries to kill you later."

"UGH, you're such a killjoy, Hermione!" whines Harry. He huffs away. "At least my best friend Ron is going with me! Because he's my best friend!" Ron sighs as he and Harry arrive at Grimsbogg Beach.

"I wish Hermione would have come."

"Dude, cheer up. We're going to have such a rad time here. I hear they have beach parties, a tiki bar, surfing, a night club...everything you could ask for," says Harry.

"What do you want to do first?"

"You're right, man. I'm glad it's just us guys. Wanna just walk along the beach? I love beaches," says Ron.

"Sure, man," says Harry. The two guys walk along the beach. It's mostly deserted. Most vacationers are playing wizard volleyball, at the tiki bar, or enjoying other perks in the area. They walk in silence for a long time until Ron speaks up.

"I was actually pretty sad Hermione didn't want to come," he says.

"Well...yeah. We all knew that. You should have fessed up to it years ago, you dumb idiot," says Harry, not making eye contact.

"Whoa. Why are you being so mean?" asks Ron. Harry suddenly notices how nice his eyes are when he's upset. They're so pouty. He looks like a baby animal or something.

"I...I'm sorry," says Harry, taking a few steps towards Ron. "I'm sorry. Maybe I'm a little..." He struggles to get the last word out. "...jealous."

"What? Jealous? You mean...?" Ron is slowly putting the pieces together.

"Yes. I didn't realize until just now. Ron, I'm in love with you.

"Ron walks up to Harry and gives him a big smooch, but it's also really soft. Harry suddenly remembers many dreams he's had where he and Ron have kissed. Now it all makes sense. They had to kiss. It was the prophecy. The kiss prophecy.
