So we're not friends, well of course you knew that. I thought to myself on the ride back home, honestly, I don't think I can say I wouldn't blame him if I were him. It was technically my fault that we all didn't make it out alive. I guess I even blame myself.

"Y/n." Gakushū snapped me out of my thoughts as we pulled into the driveway of my nightmares.

"Yes?" I sit straight and upward, facing him. Like I'm always being told to do.

"Somethings bothering you..." He eyed me carefully, then turned to his side and opened his door.

I followed his actions and stepped out of the car. I saw Gakuhō on the far left of me. "Oh, Y/n I have some business I need you to take care of. This once again, perked Gakushū's interest, I swear I could see his ears twitch.

"What is it?" I asked throwing my bag over my shoulders again.

"Well, it's more of a meeting." He says and stops at the front door.

This is when I remember my mother. What did happen to her? Would she be inside as usual cooking dinner? Or would she be on the sofa reading a light novel for her book club? Well, whatever she's doing I hope she's not mad anymore.

I follow my father and brother's footsteps to the door, hopping on the tiles, trying not to step in the cracks.

"Don't do that Y/n, it is unladylike," Gakuhō stated as I met him at the door.

"Yes, father."

The three of us walked into our household and slipped our shoes off. We placed them neatly by the front door, then slid our house shoes on. Gakushū and I made our way up the stairs while our father took his time to watch us go up, then unlock his office and go inside. He does this every time we come home. I don't find it creepy, but reassuring.

I did not see my mother on the sofa, but I did smell soba in the kitchen so I assume she is making food. I opened up my room door, but before I could walk in Gakushū grabbed the door and shut it. I looked up at my twin in confusion.

He sighed but did not say anything. I know he wants to ask me, but I also know that he knows I will not answer, or we'll I cannot answer.

"I'm fine Shū, I'm fine that's all you need to know." I smiled and pushed passed him to open my door.

"Listen..." I heard. I didn't turn to look at him again, but I did perk up. "I know Dad wants you to meet this person because he wants to set you up with his son. I heard him talking to his mother about it. I just felt my out should know." He spoke in an unworried manner.

I smiled again. "Thank you for your gesture, but I had a good idea beforehand." Then I turned and walked into my room, shutting it behind me.

I unpacked my school bag, got it ready for tomorrow, and changed. I placed my old clothes in the hamper at the corner of my room and placed a small, white sundress on. I wore a white cropped sweater as well. My hair was down as I liked it. I took out the new white Fila's Gakuhō had gotten me last week and walked downstairs.

"You look nice Y/n," Gakuhō said and took a seat next to me as I once again switched my shoes.

"Thank you, father."

"Oh yes, I should talk to you about that. When our company arrives you will address me only as Sir."

"Okay," I replied.

This must mean that our guests are royalty or something. Honey, who asks their child to address them, as Sir or Ma'am?

Gakushū came downstairs and we ate. I did not make eye contact with my mother, though I did make sure to "thank you" because even though we were at odds it was the respectful thing to do.
