POV: Yours
Time: uhh- 10:30 AM
Destination: Escuela
The weekend ended and it was time to return back to class, right now there was a musical that everyone wanted to participate, one of those people being Adora.
I still don't know what we are, all I know is that we are gonna talk about it later today, but right now they are waiting in line for try outs for this musical.
"Glimmer, on the stage- oh you brought a friend?" I quickly looked up to see what the fuck this teacher was talking about, no way was Glimmer suppose to have friends after what the expose, "Yeah this is Catra, they are gonna help me with the song."
Catra walked up to the stage, am i fucking seeing things?!? Did that alcohol affect me, I sat up straight.
"Okay just introduce yourself, the role you wanna play, and start singing." "Mhm, My name is Glimmer, I wanna play the role of Heather Chandler" "And I am just here for backup." Catra said.
My hands gripped on the seat handle tighter, thank god for me these auditorium seats are hard.
Glimmer signalled the song to start, river deep mountain high started playing.
My eyes widened, "No fucking way-" I quickly got up and texted Adora to get in the auditorium.
They started singing and god damn they were good, I mean I always knew Catra had an amazing voice, hell we used to sing this together, but why are they with Glimmer? What happened while I was gone? I mean not much should happen, Catra hates people like Glimmer, I mean we both do but I am just trying to understand why are they doing this, did Glimmer bamboozle her or something?
Adora came in running, "Hey Y/N whats up-" she quickly saw the two girls singing, her jaw dropped.
"Shit they are good." Adora whispered intimidated.
We both walked out of the auditorium.
"Who is Glimmer trying out for?" "Heather Chandler." "No way- But I'm gonna try out as her." "Exactly, what song are you gonna try out with?" "I am gonna sing Mama mia with a couple of friends-" "Adora that is the whitest choice you will ever have to chose, you gotta pick one that matches that mean girl trope, they chose a song that will definetly go with the characters Glimmer picked, might not be mean girl type but its still diva material." I explained.
Adora smiled at me, "When did you become such a manager?" "Since I don't want you losing towards Glimmer." "It's not really a competition Y/N, I wanna do this musical for fun, and if she gets it then I will get another roll." I looked at the floor kind of embarrassed, Adora kissed my forehead and lifted my chin, "However you did open my eyes, so thanks for that."
I smiled, "What about?" "My tryouts are tomorrow, I need to find a new song and practice it today." "We can practice it at my dorm, I can help" I suggested.
Adora looked at me, "About thatt, I have to practice with my friends, sooo... I can't go after school." I looked at her with a blank stare, the bell rang, "I'll make it up to you after school tomorrow, I promise, I have to get to class, later Y/N!" she said before running off.
"Yeah fucking right." I said kind of disappointed.
I heard the auditorium door open, and I quickly looked over, Catra came out with her gym bag.
She was talking and laughing with Glimmer, I leaned towards the lockers making a small noise with the metal.
Catra and Glimmer both turned my direction.
"Y/N-" "Catra." I said glaring at her.
"I'm gonna-" "Yeah it's fine." Glimmer said before walking to class.
Catra walked over to me, "Hi Y/N..." I stared at her, waiting for an explanation.
She didn't say anything, "So you and Glimmer huh?" I finally spoke.
"Listen Y/N, I know this looks bad, but like she is trying to change." "You really believe that?" "Yeah, she wants to reconnect with everyone, make everything better, change herself." "Catra, she's Glimmer, you really believe a girl like her is gonna change?!?" I asked.
Catra looked at me, "You changed yourself, not for the best, why are you trying to drag people down with you?" she said, kind of calling me out.
Offended.
"Got it" I said before standing up correctly, "No, Y/N, I didn't mean it like that-" "Nope, you did, save it." I said, "Do you really expect Adora to get you out of your little dark space?" Catra asked.
I looked at her, "What?" I asked.
"You are depending on her to take you out of your misery Y/N" "And glimmer is doing the same with you." I said defending myself.
Catra put her hands in her jacket "I don't wanna have this fight with you Y/N, just for two stupid rich girls" she said. I looked another directions with my arms crossed, "I know you went through a lot, but you can't depend on someone to make you happy." she said putting her hands on my shoulders.
"I will always be here for you, you can talk to me, let it out, whatever you want, I am here for you, I always was and I always will be." she said, I kept trying to avoid eye contact, "You are a good friend you know that?" I finally spoke, my voice slightly cracked.
She hugged me tight.
"I guess I was jealous about Glimmer cause I don't wanna lose you to her." "And you won't." Catra said pulling away.
"Difference between you and everyone else is that we are best friends." Catra smiled, I looked at her and laughed, "Yeah true, we made fun of everyone, hated the same people, did molly together, saved eachothers asses a lot." I said remembering of all of our past shit we went through together.
"Exactly." she said with her smile, we both said our goodbyes and headed our ways.
