(Y/n)'s P.O.V.
I continued pounding on the door and was about two seconds away from climbing the tree up to Denki's window when the door finally swung open. "I thought you were gonna break the thing off it's hinges." "It's not my fault you weren't ready at the time we agreed on." I retorted and we headed to the train station. "I'm honestly still processing that they let me into the hero course are you sure you didn't threaten anyone?" "Maybe I did, I'll never tell." I punched him in the shoulder and he laughed, "I'm joking! You need to believe in yourself more." I shrugged but smiled and we hopped onto the train towards UA. Once we got there several people had already taken there seats and I went to mine next to a pink skinned girl. "Hi I'm Mina Ashido, what's your name?" "(Y/n) (L/n). And that over there is my friend Denki Kaminari." "Yo." We all chatted for and I ignored the commotion over by the door until a tired voice spoke up. "If your just here to socialize then you can leave now." I peered around and saw a shabby looking man in a yellow sleeping bag over by the door. "It took you all 8 seconds to shut up, that's not going to work, time is precious. Rational students would know that." I was startled. Weather or not they were a teacher most adults wouldn't speak to a student like that in a school. "Hello my name is Shouta Aizawa. I'll be your home room teacher for the year." He fished around in his sleeping bag for a moment and then pulled out a gym uniform, "Put these on and meet me on the field."
"A test of our quirks!?" I put my face in my hands while everyone else talked about what that would look like. Kill me now. "Bakugo." The ash blonde kid who had his feet on the desk earlier looked up, "Yea?" "You got first in the entrance exam, how far could you throw a softball in junior high?" "About 67 meters." "Great now do it with your quirk." Bakugo took the softball, wound up, and threw it hard, adding an explosion to propel it the extra distance. "DIE!" I'm sorry what- "As you can see when you apply your quirks, You can do great things." Mr Aizawa held up the reader, 705.2 meters. I wanted to sink into the earth. I was above average in most of these tests because of my physical strength and the fact that I had been training for a long time. However I would not be able to meet anyone's scores with their quirks. "Wow we get to use our quirks as much as we like!?" "That's awesome I wanna try!" "Awesome you say?" I felt a wave of nervousness run down me, "These tests are here to gauge your potential. The person who comes in last has none and will be expelled." I was panicking but as I looked around I saw a kid with green hair also nervous. Denki put his hand on my shoulder and gave me a thumbs up, "Your not getting expelled got it? Your really good with these tests." I let out a sigh and gave a faint grin. "We'll see..."
"(L/n) it's your turn for the softball throw." I nodded and took the ball, stepping up to the circle. This was one of my better tests so I wasn't to worried. I took a breath and launched the thing. I looked over at Mr Aizawa who was staring at his thing, "107.2 meters." "Wait without using her quirk!?" "That's better that Bakugo, she's been training." I smiled and headed back to Denki who gave me a high-five. "Nice job." "Thanks, but we still got more tests."
The end of the quirk assessment we all stood waiting for the results. "Oh and I lied about someone getting expelled. That was just a rational deception to make you do your best." I sunk to the ground, letting out a sigh. "Hey you wouldn't have been expelled anyway! I was in 15th place right in front of Denki. "I'm still positive I had a mini heart attack..." We headed back inside and Ashido stopped me, "You were incredible! What's your quirk?" "Oh um- I'm actually quirkless." I said, rubbing the back of my neck. "Really? You must be strong then because that entrance exam was hard." I laughed, "Tell me about it." Once we were changed we headed back to the classroom to pick up our syllabus and then leave. As I grabbed my paper I noticed Mr Aizawa staring at me, "Do you need something sir?" "Sorry. Is your mother (M/n) (L/n)" I nodded, "Do you know her? I mean- she is a pro hero." "Yeah, we were... friends in junior high. It was a shame she got pregnant at such a young age. I think that was what was stopping her from going to UA." I nodded and left the classroom. "Everything ok?" Denki asked, "Yeah, Mr Aizawa just mentioned that he knew my mom in junior high is all. They were probably good friends." "That's cool. Wanna race to the train station?" "Your on Pikachu boy!"
