Persephone's garden.

Alluring waters of the Styx,
Watching her drain our desires away,
The ferryman sailed us from life to death,
Never were the waters so grey.

We stood in the judgement pavilion,
Your hand in my hand.
We were sentenced a lifetime in the fields of Asphodel,
Our destination was always Hades' land.

We sneaked into Persephone's garden,
Filled with crimson flowers and skeletal trees,
Hoping Hades doesn't break loose,
We were less prisoned, more free.

The skies were on fire,
But I felt it on your skin,
We lay bare like ancient Greeks,
We sinned in the land of sin.

Heaven wasn't a place for us,
We were born sick; you and me.
We knew hell was the destination,
for lovers who love differently.
