Chapter 4

《Pain. That's what all she felt. She could hear the muffled sounds and voices around her, but the pain was too much. Strangely enough her head was hurting more than her stomach. It was making it hard for her to think…》

"Kit!!! Kit!!!" Randolph called and Kit woke up, covered in cold sweat.
"It's okay, it was just a nightmare" he smiled and she sighed.

"I haven't had a night without those. Or shall i say "this". It's always the same one. The doctor won't let me go home before it stops, it's just…" 
"It's been only two weeks, give it some time" Randolph smiled and handed her a glass of water, which she gladly drank.
"It may sound strange, considering that I work in a hospital, but I'm sick of that place and i wanna go home"

"Oh and, Randolph, thank you for staying here….you know...with me, it means a lot" she smiled lightly and suddenly something clicked in his head. He stood up, planted a quick kiss on Kit's forehead (something he has been doing a lot, since they started spending so much time together), mumbled an "I'll be back" and ran off. 

Bell stopped in front of the CEO's office as he exited, a wide smile on his face. He sprinted down the stairs to the 4th floor where Kit's room was and announced happily that she can go home.

"What the hell are you talking about?" She asked, a confused expression, covering her face. 

"Me and the CEO had a little chat and since...you know...I'm a very capable doctor myself, you'll be going home with me and I'll be taking care of you until your nightmares stop" Randolph said proudly.
   "I can't make you go through all this trouble" Kit said.
  "Come on, Kit, it's not a trouble, it'll be fun, you'll see. Besides, the food is certainly better than what they serve here." 

  Kit stopped to think for a second but she finally agreed. 
 "Great, I'll go and get your stuff" Bell said and was out before she could blink. For some reason he seemed as excited as she was, even a bit more. 
  "Thank you, Randolph" The ortho surgeon called after him.

What she didn't know was that he heard her...and no one could wipe off the silly grin that remained on his face.
