Lord Baal has issued a decree which shall take effect in the succeeding years: those given a vision aside from the element of Electro shall be hunted down, imprisoned, or for worse - sentenced to death.

"Such grave news. Does this mean we have to take hold of the Inheritance Ceremony for earlier than scheduled?" My mother asked of my father as we sat on the dinner table.

Ah yes, the ceremony. It was the day I dreaded to come. Should I be one to oppose of the timely duel between candidates for inheritance of the Tomoe Clan's name and glory - I would be imprisoned, detained, and lectured day to night up until they find my oath of compliance.

Obedience, Loyalty, and Undying Devotion.

Our nation of Inazuma had passed down these traits to be expected of its Leading Noble Clans to serve as models to the common townspeople. And so my family carried on this duty as we were the Main Branch - the center and foundation as our Elders said. Being the first born child, regardless of gender, I had to fulfill my obligations and swear allegiance to the Electro Archon's wishes - her every command and passing whim.

With a sigh in silence, I felt my father's stern gaze fall upon my direction; he scanned of my readiness and awareness as they discussed how to resolve the issue at hand.

That was when I understood what the gaze meant soon as I locked eyes for a brief moment.

"Our daughter is more than ready to fight. It is the only way for her to gain a vision as per our Clan's tradition." He spoke in full authority, and in utmost pride as he let out a hearty laugh in front of the Main Branch members.

One would think, that a young girl at twelve years of age should be out playing with other peers her age, or maybe even receiving a formal education if they were born into nobility. For Inazuma, however, things are preserved by tradition - an eternal rule - which we are supposed to abide by.

Therefore, things such as a duel to the death for the crown of inheritance is a norm.

And for me, who had been upholding the image of a perfect and well-rounded individual, as well as possessing the ideal balance of grace and strength - I was regarded as the true and rightful heir to be the next head of the Tomoe Clan.

Despite all the hard work, I had to carry on with the ceremony for formalities. But I was sick to the pit of my stomach. Every inch of my being wanted to leave this wretched place - to escape.
