Ji Hoon: Uh, Hidee, what are you doing?
Hidee (your very lovely author): Breaking the fourth wall, what do you think? We gotta be original here and make the prologue interesting! We need to catch our reader's attention! Come on Ji Hoon, work with me.
Ji Hoon *narrows eyes*: Who the hell breaks the fourth wall in their prologue?!
No one:
Ji Hoon:
Hidee: Me c:
*Hidee takes out notes and begins the interview*
Hidee: So your name is Kim Ji Hoon and it seems like you are the main protagonist of this very lovely story?
Ji Hoon: You should know this. You're literally the author of the book.
Hidee: I didn't expect to write another main character with sass... Darn it, it's Desmond Mellow all over again.
Ji Hoon: Des- Who?
Hidee: Oh, haha, er, no one, no one. (A cookie and virtual head pat for those of you who got the reference ;) Anyway, back to the interview.
Can you tell us more about yourself?Ji Hoon: I'm a 22 year-old male college student who majors in journalism and literature.
Hidee: And?
Ji Hoon: I don't know what else to say.
Hidee: Come on, you're going to bore our readers. Where is the trauma? The heartbreaking story? The gut wrenching emotions?
Ji Hoon: If this book is about me, then the readers are going to find more about me anyway and my messed up life.
Hidee: Wow, hold up, things got dark way too quick. I said to captivate the readers. Not scare them away.
Ji Hoon: Hey, it's not my fault that I have a toxic relationship with my roommate!
Hidee *makes a loud gasp with wide eyes*: ... Y-You what?
Ji Hoon *rolls eyes*: Don't act like you don't know the plot of the story, you sneaky author.
Hidee: Shhh, it's all part of the plan to get the readers hooked. *clears voice* So what's your lovely roommate's name?
Ji Hoon: Jax. Jax Bowden. We met back in high school during our junior year. Dark times.
Hidee: What do you mean?
Ji Hoon: I was still in the closet and I didn't have lots of friends. People bullied me a lot because I was quiet and shy.
Hidee: ...But?
Ji Hoon: But Jax was different. He treated me differently and talked to me as if I actually meant something. He wasn't always nice to me, but he made me feel special. Maybe it was because he was the only person that accepted me for who I was, or maybe it's because he has a nice face, but he was the only person I could somewhat tolerate.
Hidee: He doesn't seem to be that bad of a guy. Describe him in three words.
Ji Hoon: manipulative, toxic, and sadistic.
Hidee: *starts to sweat perfusely* oh aha, I see. He sounds... Wonderful.
Ji Hoon: After we graduated, we moved in together. He studies fashion in a different university and works part time as a model.
Hidee: So are you two in a relationship?
Ji Hoon: No, I don't think we're even friends.
Hidee: Then how would you describe your bond with Jax?
Ji Hoon: He's my lovely roommate.
Hidee: Hm, sounds complicated.
Ji Hoon: It is.
Hidee: But if it's so complicated, why don't you skedaddle out of there and find yourself a new roommate?
Ji Hoon: It's easier said than done.
Hidee *narrows eyes*: Are you a masochist?
Ji Hoon: W-What?! No!
Hidee: Then are you in love with him?
Ji Hoon: I guess you'll have to read to find out.
