Kai POV.

Today is my 4th birthday and mom and dad said that they have something really special for me! I am super excited because they don’t really pay much attention to me other than feeding me and making sure I’m not dying! 

“ Kai please come downstairs “

Ohhh! That’s mom, I’m probably about to see the surprise!

I go downstairs and see mom and dad waiting for me at the back door. They take me outside and tell me that they are about to show me the special thing. 

“ We are going to show you your elemental. An elemental is a special genetic power that only special people have, they allow the user to control the element that you get” - dad

“ You can tell which elemental you get by looking at your core. You have a core that is 78% fire and 22% water because you have a combination of mine and your father’s power. The fire part of your elemental will be easy for you to produce while the water part will be harder. “ - mom

Today we will be training you on the basics of drawing up your elemental power and expanding it” - dad

To begin dad had me sit in the middle of a hot humid room until my body got used to the feeling of what my element will bring. While I was in the room I decided to meditate so that I could feel more of the natural energy. It took about an hour for me to feel the rush of energy that mom said I would feel when I reached the elemental core of my body. 

After I reached the core I felt like I disconnected from the world. When I opened my eyes I saw a giant snake( around 5 feet long, he is five that’s giant ), it had a bright red flame on the end of its tail and ocean blue eyes.

“ ahh, my human has finally come to meet me.”

The snake just talked!

Snake POV. 

My human must be really stupid if he is an elemental that doesn’t know about the spirit of the core, where is he anyway? WHAT!! My human is here and looks like he is 5 years old! Most people don’t meet their spirit cores until they reach at least teens. 

“ What is your name human, also what are you doing here in the first place? “

“ My name is Kai Smith, I honestly have no idea why I am here. I was just meditating in a humid hat room and then I got a burst of energy and continued to meditate.”

“ Why were you meditating in a humid room in the first place?” 

“ Because mom and dad said that I was supposed to  reach my elemental core so that we could start training and expanding it “

This kid’s parents are forcing him to train his core at five, the elemental coils don’t fully develop until the age of 10. Thats just cruel. But on a different note, he has an adorable lisp, his ‘r’s turn into ‘w’s.This juman aslo seems very smart for his age.

“Hmmm. In that case I will explain what I am. I am the spirit of you core, basically a spirit animal based on you elemental. I grow as your elemental power grows, right now I am only a five foot snake with a small flame on the end of my tail but in the future I could be a 90 foot snake with super thick scales and fire beneath them. Your relationship with me also effects our growth. If you hate me it will be harder to grow while if we are best friends we will grow quickly. “

“ ohhh, Ok, well what is your name? “

“ Uwibami is my name. “

“ Oooo, I like that name. Anyways, not to be rude but how do I get out of here? “

“ Simply imagin being back in the room you were previously in “

“ Ok, thank you Mr. Uwibami but I’m going to leave now “

“ Goodbye Kai “

That kid is going to be strong in the future, he will also probably go through alot though. There is no way he will get through his training without becoming friends with me. 

Kai POV.

I open my eyes and see that I am still in the room that I started in. I get up and walk to the door, when I try to open it I realize that it is locked. It is starting to get really hot in here. I knock on the door and tell mom that I unlocked my elemental.

“ Stay in there for another hour Kai only two have passed. “

Mom must want me to grow alot, especially if I have to stay in here for three hours.  I go back to the middle of the room again and start meditating. This time I am focusing on the moisture in the air instead of the temperature. 

After around forty five minutes I feel another burst of energy, this one was differant though. It wasnt as large as the last one. It also seemed less hot in the room, I think the energy cooled me down. That must have been the water energy.

I wait in the room for another 10 minutes. I should be getting out soon, I wonder if mom and dad will be proud of me!. During the last few minutes I start feeling really hot, my head is spinning and I have sweat dripping off me. Just before I lay on the ground I hear the door unlock, I walk over and ask if I can come out. Mom says yes and I open the door.

“ So what happened? “

“ I started medatating and then I felt a burst of hot energy and I opened up and saw a big snake named Uwibami. When I left you told me to stay for another hour and I started meditating again. This time I felt a cool smaller energy burst and it colled me off alot. Now I feel kind of dizzy. “

* That is where I'm ending this chapter. Just a warning that this story is more of a side story and will not have a set update scedule. I hope you enjoyed it! Also should the next chapter be in Cole's POV. ? He is the other main character, if you haven't guessed this story will be lava. Bye! *
