The ring on her cell phone was going off once again, for captain Olivia Benson knew who was Calling, seeing his name flashing on the Id of her phone. Stabler; Elliot stabler, she wasn't ready to talk to him. He admitted he loved her—many unspoken thoughts and feelings going through her mind. When Elliot left her behind at Special victims, he took a piece of her broken heart with him. The words

Those three words echo through her mind over and over again. It was something she couldn't shake off; then she remembered the letter Elliot gave her. Getting out of bed, getting a glass of red wine as she pulled out the letter Elliot gave her, sat on her kitchen bar. Open the envelope and read the letter once more to grasp and understand why after all this time why.

Dear Olivia

In case you didn't know, there are not enough words or ways to express how much you mean in my life. Walking away from you, the one constant in my life, was one of the most complex decisions for me, But it was the best decision for you. Olivia, I know that you think you need me to there to be there for me. But I didn't need to be the best person. It was always you that show me that you are so much more robust and braver than me. I was a coward. I hid from that being that you were hindering me from growing into the woman we all know you could be. The woman who anything to the right thing to work hard in fight for justice for victims. I am so happy then, even though I wasn't there, that you decided to grow and flourish. You captain Olivia Benson, and you don't a need partner like me to show; For you, it is possible to do anything; the only thing impossible for you to do is to do wrong, since you are knowledge and justice and love

And in case you didn't know how over 13 years of being partners I have learned;

What it means to serve and protect the people who need it. What it means to be fair and just. Not letting your past, fears and worries hinder you. Lastly, what it means when all else fails you have partner as strong to pick you up. And in case you didn't know, Olivia that living without you in would be great lost and regret. Olivia finished her last gulp of red wine as she folds the letter back up puts it back in her night stand where she stabler name flashing on her phone. Olivia realizes she can't ignore Elliot anymore she needed to face him. So she answered the phone

"Elliot"

"Hey Liv, up for morning coffee "

"Let me guess couldn't sleep Ell."

"Neither could you, meet me downstairs.i hate for coffee to get cold."

Olivia consider meeting Elliot downstairs outside sitting there cold. Words wanted to be spoken but couldn't out fear or regret. But Olivia didn't want to live that anymore, for Elliot show that his letter and telling her he loves her. So she told Elliot,

"Coffee would taste better if you came up stairs."

Elliott took a breath of air as Olivia buzzed him into her apartment. When reached her door. Elliot didn't have to knock as Olivia open the door. Elliot seeing her white satin pls on my his flutter as she open a path for him to enter as she said,

"Are you going to come in?. Will sure need that coffee. For we have a lot to catch up on."

Elliot and Olivia smiled at one another, Elliot making way into Olivia's apartment as Olivia closes the door sadly the one thing missing was a do not disturb sign.
