The family of 4 arrived back at their house. George and Lucia ran into the garden and into the new treehouse to eat their ice cream.
"They really love that treehouse" Jessie laughed as she saw them through the kitchen window while she unpacked the shopping bags

"They do" Rhodey laughed

"What flavour do you want?"

"Any will do"

"Alright... that's all away... here you go, now I really have to change out of this ridiculous shit" Jessie laughed as she handed Rhodey his ice cream before she walked off to their room. She sighed a little as she picked up her old suit in the bracelet, putting it on and activating her suit
"Tony... what the hell" She laughed as she realised how it adjusted to the bump in a discreet way and was extra thick around it
"He knew better than me" She giggled as she deactivated it. She walked to the side and grabbed herself a black tank top and blue jeggings as well as a  grey cardi.

"Jess, you got a call" Rhodey said walking inside.

"Jessica Barnes here" Jessie said, putting the phone inbetween her ear and shoulder as she started to do her hair

"Hi Jessica, I am James therapist... I was just wondering if you have attempted to contact your brother recently?"

"Um, why? Is he dead or something?" Jessie asked, putting down the hairbrush

"Oh no, he is perfectly healthy in that sense. I think you should try reach out to him or come down for a session with him"

"Aren't you suppose to keep these kinda things confidential?"

"It is a part of his pardon but I also know your reputation and think it would be good for you two to get back in touch"

"If James wants to talk to me, he can but I don't want to force it" Jessie answered, rolling her eyes a little in frustration

"How about you take some time to consider it, I just hope you two do reconnect soon as I have a guess how you two were close"

"Thanks... I will take it into consideration" Jessie said before she hung up. She placed the phone on the dresser before she kept going with her hair

"Want to talk about it?"

"Nope, I definitely do not" Jessie answered Rhodey

"Yes you do, Jess, I saw the little nose scrunch thing you done when you said Nope" Rhodey said, she turned to face him with her eyebrows raised

"Nose scrunch?"

"You know the little thing you do" Rhodey laughed

"No one has ever noticed I have done that before" Jessie smiled

"I noticed it after a few months of being friends with you" Rhodey said

"That is just adorable" Jessie laughed as she looked at him
"We should go get some more ice cream. Me and baby bump are hungry" Jessie smiled, looking down and patting her bump carefully

"Let's go get you and the baby some then" Rhodey answered as he was about to walk off

"Wait a minute" Jessie quickly said

"What?"

"Phone" Jessie answered, handing him the phone

"Right" He laughed as he took it and the two walked out into the kitchen. Jessie grabbed a tub and spoon for herself before she made her way to the swinging bench they brought

"Momma! Major is digging again" Lucia shouted. Jessie rolled her eyes as she whisled and Major ran over

"You got to stop digging doggo. Go find your ball" Jessie told her as she opened up the tub, only to see the tilting head of her dog
"No, this is mine" Jessie laughed

"I don't think Major understands that"  Rhodey laughed as he threw Major the ball. He sat down next to Jessie before he started laughing at her

"What have I done?" She asked with a tiny laugh as she covered her mouth

"You got ice cream on your chin"

"Damn it" She giggled as she rubbed it off.

The next day

Jessie got an alert on her phone about a soon to be announced broadcast on the tv.
"Hey Rhodey, did you get it?" Jessie shouted as he was in another room

"Get what?" Rhodey asked her

"That alert? It was about a weird sudden announcement" Jessie hinted

"Oh, yeah it came through a minute ago" Rhodey nodded

"Do you have any idea what it is about?" Jessie asked him

"Not a clue" Rhodey shrugged a little as he sat down with her. The two kids were sat on the floor with their little tablets and played some sort of game while Jessie put on a TV channel. Rhodey sat next to her as she shuffled next to him while they saw the announcement start streaming

Join me in welcoming your new Captain America!" The TV showed as a male came out of the building in this uniform and with the Shield in his hand. Jessie tightened her fist slightly as she saw him come down closer to the camera, waving around his hand and the shield.

"I thought Sam was gonna be Captain America" George said as he looked upto Jessie from the floor

"No, he didn't want to but that shield should be in the Smithsonian with the rest of the belongings from the 40s" Jessie said as she cupped her glass tightly but soon saw a text come through from Sam and Torres
"The idiots actually made a group chat" Jessie laughed slightly to cover up the annoyance
"I'll be back in a moment, Sam is calling" Jessie said as she took her phone into the bedroom

"Did you see it?"

"Yeah, sadly so"

"Has Bucky?"

"I don't know, possibly" Jessie answered as she pulled her laptop close to her
"Oh great, they already set him up with a tour"

"A tour?"

"I swear that's all they thing that symbol means, tour here, tour there" Jessie stated
"Just hope they don't take Steve's spangled man song as well" Jessie added

"Why not, if they play it loud enough you know when he is coming to avoid him"

"True like a damn siren when to run the opposite direction" Jessie laughed slightly as she saw Rhodey slowly open the door
"Pretty sure Rhodey wants to talk to you" Jessie said

"Put me on speaker then" Sam told her

"Alright grump" Jessie laughed as she done so

"Hey Sam"

"Hey, so... I assume it is a collective agreement on our thoughts on this new Cap?"

"I guess" Rhodey shrugged alittle

"You two keep talking, I gotta bring in those sheets!" Jessie said as she saw it starting to rain so she ran off out the bedroom

"Sheets?" Sam questioned

"Lucia had this play tent and Jess washed it, that's all" Rhodey laughed
