Hello there my fellow humans, I shall provide you all once again :)
Alright, for today's history lesson, we'll take a look at this bs.
It shows the ending of WW1 from the german perspective, so bear with me.
So basically the ending of the war was unexpected for the german public, because the government kept insisting that they would win the war, even though they knew very well that they wouldn't. But the people didn't know, so when the government suddenly announced the total capitulation of the german forces, the people were confused and searched for something or someone to blame the loss on. The 'stab-in-the-back myth' / Dolchstoßlegende (antisemitic conspiracy theory, saying that the war wasn't lost by the soldiers, but that they were betrayed by striking civilians, especially Jews, communists, socialists and other politicians) became widely believed by the right circles of the public. So yeah, fun.History I guess
I'd say that the Weimar Republic was doomed before it even started...Close up's once more:
Bye, see ya👋
