As if being head girl didn't suck enough already.
Not only was it awkward enough with Ron also being a prefect. They decided shortly after the Battle of Hogwarts that they couldn't be-- you know.
But now Malfoy, DRACO Malfoy also has to be head boy. Meaning that Hermione would be expected to be civil and pleasant at the meetings and in the headquarters. What a lovely day.
Hermione took a deep breath and straightened her pin, the red and gold badge screaming HEAD GIRL like it was an insult.
Draco couldn't decide whether being head boy with Hermione was a good thing or bad. His feelings for her had been mixed since their first day at Hogwarts. She was pretty. Definitely pretty. And she was smart. But the minute the Sorting Hat called her house to be Gryffindor he knew he had no chance. Father had specifically said to steer clear from Gryffindors.
But still, Draco couldn't help but wish that she felt the same.
