'I can see clearly now, the rain is gone, I can see all obstacles in my way Gone are the dark clouds that had me blind'

Jhonny Nash

I can see clearly now

I woke up to a pounding headache and swollen eyelids form my tears. My niece was curled up beside me on my bed. Her little arms wrapped around my neck as if she was truing to protect or comfort me. I gently moved her away from me as i tried to leave without waking her up. I navigated my way through the dark halls of my home to the back door. I walked outside to the treehouse; climbing to the only place I could find peace. I laid on my back and watched the stars. everywhere I looked I saw his face, heard his  voice. The broken gnome by the house made me rememer the summer he decided to teach me to play baseball. The princess teaset on the porch, the grill, the pink flamingos and chalk all reminded me of how many memories I had with him. Tears started runnig again and sobs choked at my throat.

"Tiana?" My brothers tentative voice filled the air so I quickly dried my tears trying to calm my gasp like breaths.

"What do you want Jake?"

"I miss him too..." The tears broke out again and I felt my heart throb. I felt the trree shake under his weight as his arms encircled and protected me. I cried. Just cried. His own tears dripped silently onto my arm showing me that I wasn't alone in my pain. When both of our thears ran out, we just sat together watching the stars in silence untill they disapeared into reality and the sunries signified the start of another day to struggle through.

Sorry it's so short... It was much longer in word :)
