the city of seoul was shining through the night. even though it was winter, the skyscrapers and tall buildings were lit up with thousands of lights. quiet wasn't the word to describe the sound of the city, but rather loud and busy. people walking and driving through the streets even when the clock stroke one am.

a lot of attractions were in the streets of the city of lights. markets, boutiques, clubs, and many more. such a big and revolutionized city was one that'd been very popular for the past few years. the smell of grilled pork belly strips and soju was filling the area of gangnam-dong.

in one of the very vintage-like bars, there were a lot of men. korean, chinese, thai, even some americans; a lot of men. one of them sitting on a stool by the bar was sipping cheap rice wine.

jeon jeongkook was a 22 year old single man with big dreams, but small opportunities. he was a handsome korean guy with dark brown hair and even darker eyes. he had a very muscular body, but it was hidden under a black, baggy shirt and black scout pants. his powerful, black boots were one of the reasons he looked scary; he sat alone, didn't smile, just took sips from his glass the whole evening.

after a few more drinks he stood up and left, throwing ten thousand korean won on the table towards the bartender. jeongkook walked out of the bar, not saying goodbye to anyone, because he didn't really have anyone to say goodbye to.

walking down the street he stuffed his ears with his ebay earphones. while playing some ballads and occasionally rap songs. he took a turn to the left and walked, heading home, listening to the calm music and looking at the streetlights ahead of him.

jeongkook was never a man that tried to seek attention - he never really wanted it, to be honest. even though he should. sure, people were checking him out even more often than he thought himself, but jeongkook didn't really care. he meant that he would find his love when the time comes.

although he never wanted to admit it, he was indeed a man of many talents. with a velvety, delicate voice, he sung ballads. sometimes he rapped, but he would rather dance, being extraordinarily good at both activities. his body structure showed that he was good at many sports. he was also very intelligent.

but the only thing he ever really lacked, was love. he never found a partner, he barely talked to people, his parents were gone a long time ago, hence why his aunt raised him until he was eighteen, when she decided to kick him out of her house, saying that "he doesn't need her anymore". he left, knowing the truth: that she actually didn't want to spend her money, nor her time, on anybody but herself. he wasn't hurt by that though. deep down he knew his aunt never really cared about him. she taught him to not feel many emotions, but just shrug some situations off. and that was a thing he did to this day.

although seoul was a city of life, being very loud, noisy, and big, jeongkook felt like life was the only thing that he didn't have and didn't feel okay not having. he worked at a small pizza restaurant, so he didn't get paid a lot. his nokia was almost at its last straw and his apartment has seen better days, but jeongkook never thought he needed better stuff.

there was a lot he didn't have, but a lot he embraced instead. rather than having the newest phone, he would have time to actually enjoy the view when riding a bus. rather than living in a big villa, he enjoyed having his small space of privacy. but not having a nice life was a big struggle for him, and he always wanted something adventurous to happen to him.

his body collided with somebody else's, breaking him out of his thoughts. a tall figure bumped into him, stopping and bowing afterwards. it was a boy with light brown hair and a longer face.

"i'm sorry" he said, looking up at jeongkook for a second before leaving. jeongkook kept standing there, feeling the wind blow on his neck. reminding himself to keep walking, he shrugged the situation that just happened off and continued walking.

the city was glowing less, and the sounds were quieter. there was nobody to be seen in the much smaller street, where his home was located. taking out the keys, he quickly opened the door and entered, not checking his mail. why would he? he didn't have friends anyway.

after half an hour he was finally in his warm bed, falling into a nice dream and thinking about the man he bumped into on the street, not knowing who the boy was nor that he will see him again.
