The scream echoed around the school, standing out amongst the human screams.
"What about Fiona, Persephone and Charlotte?" Natalie asked. We all looked at each other. Going back out there for friends?
"Let's find them." Annabeth said.
"We can monitor them on the cameras, but there's a power gauge." I said.
"Maybe an iPad charger could work" Tara suggested. We all nodded.
"But who's staying behind?" Natalie asked. We all looked at each other.
"Tara and Eve could," Annabeth said.
"Alright then. Good luck." Natalie said before we left.
"Maybe try the west quad?" I said.
"Nah, maybe upstairs."
"Okay then," I replied and we raced up the stairs to see a few students running around the hallway, screaming their heads off. I motioned Tara to shush and were about to go back down when we heard a THUMP! THUMP! THUMP! Coming up the stairs. We ran into the hallway and ran into a room, closing the door. I had a theory that if they couldn't see or hear you, they wouldn't know you were there. Hopefully. Tara just gave me a WTF look as I pulled her against the wall. we held our breath as the footsteps echoed louder. I heard a clucking sound and more screams as presumbly Chica followed the other students. We left the classroom and raced down the hall to room 15, where we got in and saw Fiona and Charlotte.
"Thank goodness you guys are here." Tara said and they followed us as we went back to a closer flight of stairs. We descended them quietly and carefully walked towards lab 6.
"Anyone seen Seph?" I asked.
"Nup." Charlotte said.
"Well we have to find her..." I trailed off as we saw mangle hanging from the ceiling, freezing before heading towards us, jaw hanging open.
"Oh crap." I said before diving to the floor.
"Come on!" I whisper-shouted, mangle drawing closer. Everyone else dived to the ground and mangle drew closer. I crawled on my stomach towards a classroom 7. Everyone else followed suit. Mangle swung down and we all tried to be as flat as we could. Mangle just missed us. I stood up and made a run for it. I made it, but mangle was clambering towards me. I dived back down again.
"We need to make it to lab 6!" Tara exclaimed.
"Make a run for it!" Fiona called and stood up and ran. We all followed suit. Luckily it wasn't far away and we shut the door in Mangle's face.
"That was close." I said.
"Where's Persephone?" Annabeth asked.
"Didn't find her. But we can't get out until we get rid of mangle." Tara replied.
"Well then..." Fiona said as she looked at the shut door.
