A New Face

Sashas POV

The phone was a mini touch screen, a grey outside and two zany covers came with it as well. One was pink and had yellow hearts surrounding the speakers and camera, the other had rainbow stripes down it.

I wrapped Mum in a ginormous bear hug and kissed her on the cheek.

"Ok Sasha honey, can you please go and hop in the car?" Mum asked

"Yup su-" I started

"Wait, wait,wait" Mum said " Have you got everything?"

"Yes Mum"

"Lunchbox?"

"Yes Mum"

"Ok can I please take a few pictures" Mum asked .

I took awhile to answer this question as I am a bit photo shy.

"Please" Mum begged dragging the word out like elastic.

"Mmmm ok" I said giving into her.

"Yay" Mum squealed. I rolled my eyes and stood against the wall, pulling a very average smile. Mum scoffed.

"Smile properly honey" she said. I pulled a smile that wasn't much better but it passed Mum's smile inspection.

After the photos I went to the car and sat in it. Our car was a small car and very plain, but we could never give it away it had a welcoming smell to it. Mum attempted to turn the car on. It coughed and sputtered then after a few rough hits from Mum it lurched forward and we were on our way.

I glanced down at my uniform not the most interesting uniform just a collared white blouse with a red blazer and a blue pencil skirt with sandals and my hair was up in a ponytail.

Outside the school Mum halted to a stop I gave her a kiss on the cheek and hopped out waving a big goodbye I walked into the school gates bumping into a girl. When I bumped into her that tiny half of a second when our skin collided with one another I felt electricity prickle up my arm that gave shivers.

Embarrassed I muttered a quick "sorry" and hastily walked away
