By the time I come to again I'm in a dark cell with thick cement walls. A small yellow light can be seen from down the hall but besides that there is not an ounce of daylight. I hear the clatter of combat boots on the floor and I bolt upright suddenly alert. I make out the rattle of keys as the door opens and a plate of food, if you can even call it that, is shoved into my reach.
"Eat." The mystery man orders. Even though the plate was a good 10 feet away from me I could still smell the awful stench radiating from the small plate. I quickly scooped it up and dumped it in the toilet without any second guesses.
Without any daylight it's hard to sense how much time has actually passed. I feel like I've been here for hours but in reality I could've been here for 20 minutes. Lost in my own thought I didn't pick up on the sound of footsteps coming closer to me cell.
"OUT!" A strange man barks but it takes me a minute to process. "I SAID OUT!" He yells grabbing me by the hair and yanking me with him. He throws me into some sort of chair and it restricts my movement. I can barely even turn my head.
Suddenly bright lights flash causing me to lose focus. I pull against the restraints only to receive a sharp slap across the face.
"Enough!" The man barks. "You are to be Hydra's newest asset." The man sneers injecting me with some sort of chemical in the process. My body spasms and writhes but nothing seems to move the chains in the slightest. My body suddenly falls limp and I can't move, my mind is clouded and foggy and it's taking malinger than usual to process the world around me.
"What's your name soldier?" The man asks eyeing me.
"J-Jr Stark." I mumble.
I received another slap across the face. My skin was stinging.
"Not anymore. Your forget that name of yours solider because you'll never hear it again. Prep her for memory wipe." He says dismissing me.A doctor shoves a mouth guard in my mouth as I try to scream. The metal plates enclose my head and my hands and feet are still strapped up. I feel the electricity run through my entire body as my memory slowly slips away piece by piece.
I feel my body being forcefully grabbed out of the chair and thrown back into my cell. I'm bruised and beaten and the gash on my head it bleeding heavily. The staples I had a few days ago are long gone leaving and incision on the top of my head to heal on its own.
My body was still limp and useless so I tried to close my eyes and sleep which was next to impossible. Constant shouting and screaming, cries of innocent people like Bucky who through no fault of their own were brought into this cruel organization.
I fell asleep for what felt like 3 minutes before I was abruptly woken up again. Dragged to some random empty room with the only instruction being, "survive."
The door slammed shut behind me and I thought I was alone. That was until a super soldier easily 6'6 towered over me eyes filled with rage. He easily clocked me in the temple with his right arm like it was nothing. My body still weak from previous "training" if you can even call to that had one urge and one urge only.
Fight back.
I was able to get to my feet and move quickly enough to dodge the next punch. The man threw so much force into it that he stumbled into the wall giving me the upper hand. I take out the back of his knee causing him to fall again and I have a wide open target on his head. I strike quickly before he grabs me and throws, literally throws, me across the room. I land on my wrist hearing an audible crack as I undoubtedly broke my wrist. It takes me a second longer to get up this time before I'm thrown once again against the cement wall blacking out.
When I wake up again I'm lying on the cold hard ground of my cell. My head and nose are covered in dried blood and my wrist is deformed. It looks like it's been snapped back into place but it definitely won't heal properly.
They soon had full control over me with the use of 10 simple words.
Longing
Rusted

Daybreak

Homecoming

Freight carI tried to hold onto whatever memories and moral compass I had left but as soon as those words left the mouth of any agent my only reply I could utter was
Ready to comply.
Once they had the trigger words in place they started sending me on missions. The missions destroyed me once I came to and realized what I had done. Poor innocent people who's lives were taken because of me. I would try to resist orders but was punished, brain washed, and had the trigger words repeated. I was constantly given some type of chemical but it's use was unknown to me.
This continued for months. The torture, the beatings and the brain wash.
"Soldier I think you're ready for another mission." An agent announces. "Your mission is a simple one and if completed successfully many will thank you for it. Your mission is to take down the avengers. More specifically Captain America and The Winter Soldier."
"I-I know them." I say feeling like I remember something.
"You've met on another assignment."
"No I know them know them." I stammer.
"Blend the brain before we send her out." The agent sneers walking away. The all too familiar enclosing of the metal plates and the burn of electricity greet my skin. I scream out in pain both mental and physical and suddenly it stops. My brain is a clean slate. My only focus is my mission.
