In the old cozy suburbs of the city of New Jersey, where spring has its own magical feeling

there that you just can't help but falling in love with its atmosphere. But with all of its

beauty, home just didn't feel like home, I felt like that wasn't it, and I'm bound to have my

life spent in the city and follow my dream of becoming a professional fashion designer. All

of the roads were open, I was this close to getting there, but it didn't happen, because

there's always a problem, an obstacle that has been there my entire life, it's that cruel,

mean and devastating obstacle you don't seem to know how to get over it...it was my dad.

My name is Sophia. I'm 18 years old, and I just graduated from high school. My mom died

when I was young, my dad told me that she died in a car accident, but a couple of years ago

I heard that she OD'ed on drugs and that she was insane and sick...she needed help.

My dad ignored her, and let her die, he told me never to believe what I heard, and honestly,

bed; with his reading glasses on, going through the newspapers, my dad loved to stay at

home with his pajamas on all the time, he was a bald, heavy bearded man who always puts

his grumpy face on for everyone. I got close to him, without saying anything, he said

without looking at me with unpleasant voice "what do you want?" I was frozen, my words

refused to come out, no words would be suitable to be said to this evil man; so I went for it

and showed him. It was a black top laced with white feathers on both shoulders, followed

by a white skirt with golden buttons on it; my dad held my outfit in surprise, his eyes

glazed, however, he didn't give any reaction, and then he turned to me and said "it looks

good, so good..." I smiled, and when I was about to thank him, my dad said, "it reminds me

of your mother's outfit..." He quickly got out a black sharpened scissors from the drawer

next to him, and started destroying my outfit, viciously cutting it to pieces, he was tearing it

apart.

I was in shock, it was like he was cutting through my heart, and with a cold heart he said to

me "you can do better!" And I was speechless, as I ran back to my room, hammered with
