We shall always abide by the rules,
That makes us act like robotic fools,
That's what we've been told from the start,
But does that come from your heart?
We just wanna be liberated,
But would we ever be overrated?
A problem on which one ponders upon,
But the solution never comes up with the dawn,
Principles preventing our joy,
Using us like a toy,
Abandoning our opinions,
Treating us like their minions,
He, him, she, her, are the pronouns one has always preferred,
I wonder will them and they would also be referred,
I believe, that we did not
sin when we came out,
It's not our fault that we stand out,
The eminent disparity that society creates has never been unnoticed,
Ahh! I'm so pissed,
We were meant to be like this,
Your hypocrisy still gives us creeps,
Trying to fit in is tiring,
Exposing and exploring is overwhelming,
The desire to be accepted is all we ask,
Is it such a big task?
We have done nothing but survived,
Seems like our existence is yet to be deprived,
To society we are baseless,
Assuming our fights are aimless,
After several pleads we were finally accepted,
However, people still think we are corrupted,
Although we are immune,
But living in a narrow-minded world is our misfortune,
Never knew it would so hard to be yourself,
Scrutinizing and flaunting your true self,
I loathe living like this,
Fearing that at some point people would diss,
I just seek to be bold,
Not worrying about, if told,
Admirable is what we want to be,
Yearning to feel free,
And just desiring to be loved between the devil and the deep blue sea.
