Last Day of school is the happiest day of my life. I looked at my wardrobe glancing at thousands of dresses and wondering which one should i wear and blaming i have nothing to wear!? Today is our class photograph and this is a disaster! Finally i chose the dress, a cool denim jacket and matching shoes. Perfect! I packed my bag while blabbering that i will not see my books and bag for a month. Normally i don't like makeup but today i just needed to look my best because when i get big i wanna look at this photo and proudly say that it is me and refresh my memories. I guess someday i will finish this never ending five years of painful school.
Finally i was ready and got to the bus. And saw Rose, my best friend and we tried to clap hands in air but as always we missed. it is our style, i guess :)
Me: Hey. Such a good day.
Rose: Yeah. How can last day of school be bad.
Me: Duh! So what are the plans for this vacation?
Rose: You and me.
Me: Very funny.
Rose: I guess a little family and adventure.
Me: Add sleep also
Rose: Really. I cannot sleep with excitement.
Me: You can guard when i am asleep.
And we reached school after talking and talking. It was first period and teacher introduced the new girl, Alexa.
Teacher: This is Alexa. She joined our school today. She will be your classmate for next session. She wanted to meet you all before the new semester. Sarah?
Me: Me?
Teacher: No your ghost. Who else? Anyway she lives near your house, so i want you to help her mingle with her new environment.
Me: Sure ma'am. I will take care of her.
She sat beside me. I wrote "Hi. Alexa" in notebook and gave it to her. She replied "You can call me Lexi"
"Sure"
"What is your name?"
"Sarah"
"Cool. Can we be friends?"
"That would be great. I will show you my bestie, Rose"
"I would love that"
And the school bell rang and class was over.
Me: Now we can talk in human voice.
Alexa: We sure can.
Rose: Hi!
Alexa: Hey. You must be Rose?
Rose: Yes. We can have lunch together.
Me: My stomach is crying for food.
Rose: Monster
Me: Hey!
My mom made rice and curry 🍛. Yummy in the tummy.
It was time for school photograph. Teacher told Alexa not to stand there because she wasn't there for last semester. She readily agreed. We stood in position for class photograph and we were told to hold hands because our theme this year is 'Union'. Our stand was slippery and glossy. I wonder why. Soon after i heard my classmates trying to jump, i guess we are taking jumping photos. When i tried to jump i couldn't.What is happening? When teacher came and told us that the stand was getting painted! And we are stuck!
And then to add to the chaos a child fell as we were sticked we couldnt move. That one child fell over the other child and that child over other. This way our whole class fell! And at that time the cameraman took photo. And we made history. Atleast on the positive side, as weight came on us we got apart from the painted stand. Wait, our shoes! Everybody's shoes got stuck so our school bought everyone a new pair a shoes. Finally we took a normal class photograph. Thereafter called the Falling or same shoed class! This all happened when Alexa went to washroom! She really missed a epic comedy scene.
One million years after....
Last period was about to end in 5 4 3 2 1. The whole class screamed YAY! HOLIDAYS!
Alexa: You guys can come to my house this evening.
Me: Sure
Rose: That is great
In the evening we all met up at her place. And played for hours. She is very cool. And she has a naughty brother. Her father had not allowed to go in the attic because it was covered with dust. But her brother went inside the attic searching for his ball and he saw spider and screamed. We all got terrified and ran to him. Fortunately he was okay and we send him down. We stayed to look for the ball. It was pretty dark when we saw something glowing. It was a book. We found the ball beside it and took that mysterious book downstairs.
The book opened up on its own and we all were stunned. Then we thought it was wind and calm ourselves. It was a blank page.
Alexa: It is so weird.
Rose: It is a perfectly normal book.
Suddenly the book showed letters like it was writing! It read.
"A perfectly Abnormal Day"
Just to leave us astonished.....
