TOM 7:10PM: Looking good for 8. Can't wait.

STELLA 7:13PM: If I walk according to Google, the subway will get me there at 8:17. To Broadway

TOM 7:25PM: Oh, you're taking the subway? Is that safe? Do you know where you're going?

STELLA 7:27PM: Relax dad, I've done this before. ;)

TOM 7:30PM: Don't you start.

STELLA 7:31PM: LOL I'm about to get on the subway, I won't have service. I'm taking the E and then the 1 to Broadway &79th

Stella sent the text and walked below to the subway. She'd have to transfer at Times Square to the 1 train to go uptown but it really wasn't all that complicated. Especially because they were fast and came about every 3 to 6 minutes, if you ended up missing one.

Listening to her music, she hustled out of the subway and up the dirty cement stairs to the bustling city. She took her phone out as she detoured to a Starbucks.

She called Tom while she waited in line but no answer.

STELLA 8:12PM: Hey, I just got off the subway. Just getting some coffee now. Are you back to the hotel already?

TOM 8:14PM: Yeah, I'm here. When you come in, just look like you belong. Go to the back left and there's a lift. I'm on the 5th floor, I'll meet you when you get off.

STELLA 8:15PM: Ok... am I on a secret mission that I had no previous knowledge about?

TOM 8:17PM: Just trying to avoid all the cameras.

Stella understood. She still hoped Tom would break up with Charlotte but finding out about her via a paparazzi photo would not be ideal. Drinking her iced latte, she walked along the street, crossing at each block.

Following Tom's instructions, she walked in, smiled at the front desk and headed to the elevator where Tom said it would be. As she pressed the elevator button, she gave him a ring that she was on her way up.

" 'ello," Tom said, his camouflage hat casted a shadow on his face, but his wide grin was evident. He had just a t-shirt and shorts yet he looked as sexy as ever.

"Hi," she smiled. She wanted so badly to kiss his lips the moment she saw him. His beard was trimmed short, Stella couldn't wait to run her fingers over it.

With a smirk, Tom led her a few doors down to his room. Once inside he slid the bar over the lock and threw his hat on the table.

"Look at this hair!" Stella squealed and ran her fingers through the When she saw him both his beard and hair was longer. Now it was the opposite and she loved it. "So what are you in New York for again?"

"I thought you were my number one fan," he playfully swatted her hands away and messed up his hair.

"I am! And right now I'm a fan of that cute side swipe you had going on here," she tried to get past his hands to comb it back. "It's not bad, it's sexy."

"Mmhmm," he said, slowly letting his guard down when she stopped reaching for it.

"So, what?" She said, sitting on the edge of the bed. Of course she did know what it was for but she didn't want to seem so crazy.

"Dark Knight Rises," he said, putting on the TV and sitting down next to her.

"Oh, hum," she said. "I don't know if I know that one." Stella pretended to think, obviously both of them knew she was lying.

"No?" He scooted back to turn to face her. "I was really fucking huge, and bald."

"Hmm, it may ring some bells." She smiled, coyly. Her eyes were drawn to his like a magnet, giving away her desires more readily than she hoped. Tom's eyes mirrored hers, both of them locked on. Stella shook her head and stuttered. "Uh, I have to use the bathroom."
