Andrea's POV
Two more weeks before Lottie's wedding and it had been busier than ever; we had to create different designs for this extravagant wedding, we also had to give the sizes of the family to the dressmakers, and let's not forget we still had to decide where to hold the celebration after the wedding. But on the bright side, Lottie already chose her wedding gown design so let's cross that out.
"Miss Andrea, Lottie's on the phone," Gabriella announced from outside my office. I thanked her and immediately picked the phone up.
"Hi, Lottie! Do you have any questions reagrding the wedding?" I greeted her cheerily, a smile plastered on my face.
"Well.." she paused, "no, but there will be a family dinner later tonight and I was wondering if you and Gabriella could come and join us?" she asked me hopefully, I could imagine her grinning from the other side of the phone, "unless you are busy?"
I paused for a moment, not sure if I should come or not. She mentioned it as family dinner and the last thing I would want to do is make them dislike me. Besides that, I had no plans for the night but a lot for the noon.
"Uh, are you sure we won't be a bother?" I asked unsurely.
"Andrea, the last thing they would feel towards you is being bothered by your presence, trust me. They agreed to it, plus they would really want to know you more since you really did help us a lot," she explained to me, making my hopes up getting better chances with Lou- wait, no! I shook my head for my weird thoughts.
"Oh," was all I said for awhile, "I guess we could? Just text me the details and maybe we'll be there," I smiled. She thanked me a lot, and we ended the call. To be honest, I didn't really want to come at first. But of course, I didn't want to disappoint her, so do I have any other choice?
"Gabriella," I called her with a loud voice, enough for her to hear me. The glass door slowly opened and her figure went inside. She gave me a questioning look, and I huffed, "Lottie invited us for a family dinner later," I stared at her, waiting for her reaction- she was 'kinda' this outgoing girl, so I thought she had some plans for the night, to which I hope she didn't because I knew I'd embarrass myself if ever I wasn't with her.
Her face lit up, "does that mean we would be seeing Louis?" her voice seemed to have a hopeful tone. I arched an eyebrow, "what?" she said, mirroring my action.
"I guess so? Louis is Lottie's brother after all," I shrugged. She grinned mischievously at me, earning a weird look from me.
"Well, I don't have plans for the night- same to you, so we'll be going," she smiled and left the room. I rolled my eyes at what seemed to be her giving me orders, but I guess I was used to it already, she worked with me ever since I started this and we're more like best friends than just co-workers.
◇
"Does this look okay?" I asked Gabriella. She was busy doing her makeup in my bedroom, and since me and her had similar dress sizes, she insisted into borrowing one of my dresses being her apartment is rather far.
"Mmm," she agreed, still concentrated into her makeup. I rolled my eyes.
"Seriously?" I observed the dress, it was bluish and it fit my body right. She turned from her makeup and gaped at me.
"If only I could switch outfits with you, Miss," she sighed, turning back to the mirror. I sighed at what she called me. I've always hated that word 'miss', to me it felt like it was overused already.
"Stop with that 'miss' thing," I huffed to which she responded with a shrug. I glance at the small wall clock in my bedroom, 5:47. We should be there around 6- and the restaurant was rather far from my apartment.
"Done!" Gabriella exclaimed, feeling satisfied with her makeup. Not to lie, but she did looked pretty- with or without makeup.
"Great. Just in time," I smiled then took one last look at the mirror and grabbed my phone, leaving the room along with Gabriella.
I went into the car, Gabriella riding shotgun.
◇
We arrived at the restaurant Lottie told us to go. It was sort of fancy and it seemed old. I heaved a sigh before exiting the car.
"This is like the most expensive restaurant I've ever been to," Gabriella stated, her eyes roaming around the restaurant. I laughed quietly, and with that we both entered. When we entered, Lottie was first to catch sight of us, she left the table heading towards us.
"You guys really came!" she grinned which made me laugh at her, "I never really thought about it. I figured you guys were busy actually," I hugged her and so did Gabriella. We awkwardly made our way to the table, all eyes on us which made me definitely uncomfortable.
"Guys, this is Andrea, the wedding planner and her friend, Gabriella," she introduced.
