"Clara! Wait for me!" I hear my friend Sam, scream breathlessly behind me while I was walking towards the school building. I laugh quietly to myself
" Jeez Sam, I'm not even far from you! Why are you yelling like that?
"I don't know, i just kinda felt like it" She replied while laughing at herself, i joined in her silly laughter. Samantha Evans, or as everyone calls her Sam, is a petite girl with long dark brown hair and brown mysterious eyes that all the boys in town call sexy. While I'm naturally a brunette and occasionally I dye my hair blonde for a little change here and there. I'm 5"3 and Sam is 5"5 so we're pretty average in height but we are definitely not average in looks and personality. We are both called drop dead gorgeous, and it totally suits our role as the popular girls at our school. But we aren't bitchy like other schools popular girls, we usually get along with everyone unless they tick us off.
"You ready for the Chemistry test today?" I asked, already knowing her answer. Well I should, I mean I've known her since grade 5 and we are juniors now. She pauses then finally exclaims,
"We have a test?!" I laugh at her.
"Nope, just wanted to give you a little scare." I tell her with a wink. Even though I can't blame her for falling for it, it's our second last week of school before summer holidays and the teachers are cramming us with tests and exams. A big pain in the ass if you ask me.
As soon as we enter the school Sam's boyfriends, Chris, is practically all over her. This girl goes through guys like she would with Kleenex, I honestly have no idea where all these guys are coming from, probably from some of the parties she goes to. But this seems to be longest relationship yet; three weeks, usually it's barely a week and a half.
"Well hello to you too Chrisy boo." I say to him like I was desperately flirting, which makes Sam laugh right in the middle of making out. They part and he turns to me with a stupid grin on his face,
"Hey Clara girl."
"Hahah come on Chris, you got to get better nicknames for me!"
He just smiles, looks at Sam, blushs and says,
"Sorry can't at the moment bacause my brain is trying to remember how to work."
"Awwwwww!" Sam exclaims then pulls him back for another make out session. I just roll my eyes and walk towards my locker.
"Hey Clara!" "Sup girl?" "Hi there Clara." "What's happening girly?"
This will make me sound self absorbed but i love the attention especially in the morning where everyone just wants to say hi. everyone but this one kid, he's kind of a nerd and nobody else knows this but I think he's kinda cute. If he'd let me give him a simple makeover then he'd be hot hot HOT! This name is Micheal Long, I only see him in the morning because his locker is two down from mine, I would say hi but he disappears whenever I'm at my locker. Like now for instance, once I got close to my locker, he slammed his and walks away. I'm trying not to let his rude manners effect me but he makes me curious; do I repulse him just because I may seem stuck up because i'm at the top of the social hierarchy or is he scared of me? I'm hoping it's neither, and I guess I'll never know since Micheal won't even give the chance to say hello. I sigh and open my locker to grab my Chemistry and Math textbooks for the morning.
---------------------------------------------------------
Lunch couldn't have come any faster, Mr Tom, my math teacher, and Mrs. Lewis, my chemistry teacher, barely taught us anything they mostly talked about their plans for the holidays. Chemistry wasn't that bad only because I had Sam to talk to but Math was just pure torture. As soon as the bell rang dismissing us from math, I practically ran out of the class and into somebody.

I was over someone's shoulder, and that person was laughing. I hear myself scream,
"Joe, put me down! Oh dear, what will mother think!"
"Oh my dear Katherine, you always worry of what others think." He replied with a laugh and I couldn't help but join in with his amazing laughter.

What the hell?
I rapidly come back into reality and I look up at Micheal, he must be around 5"9 or 5"10, but his facial expression is what struck me the most; he looked as shocked as I felt. Did he.....?
"Oh I'm so sorry, I wasn't looking, I....."
"It's fine," I interrupted him, "it's my fault, I was looking forward to being out of math." I finish with a shy giggle. Shy? I'm never shy, I always speak what's on my mind, and I'm especially not shy around guys. Guys love me, and I'm just who I am around them. I look back at Micheal and he looks back with an odd expression on his face and he quickly answers,
"Okay so we're both sorry. That's good........... I think. Sorry but I must leave." then makes a hasty exit without giving me a chance to answer. What is with this guy? Did he see what I did? And what the hell was that anyways? Gosh, I wanna know these answers like NOW.
