Chaya had been in a low mood recently. She drifted around the school and didn't answer many of your messages.

She clearly didn't take rejection well.

You hadn't really spoken to George much lately, even less Ami. Ever since the two of you confessed to eachother, he had been painfully awkward.

You decided to take Chaya out in an attempt to brighten her mood. She would not stop checking her phone for Ami to miraculously like her back and you were SICK OF IT!

You approached Chaya in the canteen on a bright Thursday morning. She was poking a brownie.

"Hey," you said, taking a seat. "Fancy meeting somewhere tomorrow, after school?"

She barely seemed to acknowledge your presence, but mumbled a reply, "Sure, I'd like that."

"Cool, we'll go to a park with swings!"

You felt a pang remembering that eventful day with George, especially with how painfully awkward it felt between you now.

Chaya nodded in response.

You stood up and left the canteen to go to your first lesson. You were looking at your feet and bumped straight into someone!

Oh...

It was Ami. It felt like it had been ages since you'd last seen her.

She stood tall above the other pupils in the corridor. Sun streaming through an open door illuminated her from behind. She looked as angelic as the day you met her.

"Move it, stumpy!" she growled dominantly.

You shuddered and let her pass you. Her eye caught yours as she walked and she winked! You practically swooned.

No!!! Y/n, you can't fall for Ami again after you confessed to George only a few days ago.

And poor Chaya...

Your first two lessons dragged by, but eventually it was time for break. You hadn't seen Chaya for two hours and you really wanted to see her because she's very cool.

You got to your usual spot and found Chaya there, crying. She never cries! Ever!

"Hey, hey!" you say, "What's wrong?"
She sobs some more and pulls out her phone to show you more texts.

Ojay

You guessed these were more texts from Ami.

"I'm so sorry," you took the phone from her, studying the messages. "Looks very cryptic."

"I know!" she sobbed. "Do you think it's because I'm a dry texter?"

Secretly, you thought yes.

"No," you said.

She sighed deeply. "Okay," she mumbled, wiping her eyes. "Let's head to class."
