Something in the Dark

Why?

        I don't know what happened that night.

        I don't know why I did it.

        No. They asked for it.

        Right? I did the right thing, didn't I?

        I can't breathe. I can't feel. I can't move. Am I dead as well? Is this the end for me? They're all dead so why is it still here. She said she would leave if I did this. "Why are you still here?" I screamed. I sit in silence for a minute before she finally responds, "You're still alive!" she says. She speeds down the bloody hall and impales me with her jagged claws. I stare into her eyes as I slip into the dark abyss of death.
