7. Secretary

Y/n's POV

I couldn't sleep whole night thinking of what has happened yesterday. It would be the worst day ever of my life.

I still resisted with Jungkook's behavior but what went wrong with my mom. She talked so politely. When she came to know about my injured hand, she didn't scold me instead she fed me with her hands. She was acting so lovely. Did she take wrong medicines?

I gathered myself together and went to the bathroom to get ready as I am already so late.

And other thing in my mind was the surprise. What could it be? Is it something nice?
Never. How can I expect something good from that totally rude cold guy?

I got ready and went downstairs. I was already late so I didn't eat my breakfast and left like that.

I decided to go in a cab today as my hand is paining really very badly.

I reached the office and sat on my place. I looked at Yeonjun and he gave me a smile.

"Something is waiting for you."

I replied him with a very fake smile.
"And what is that?" He frowns listening to me. "Mr. CEO has already made the announcement and you don't know?"

His smile faded when I asked him getting surprised. He thought I am pretending not to know anything but the reality is I seriously don't know anything.

"What is it that I don't know?" I asked in an amused voice. He scoffs "Okay stop acting. Go to Mr. CEO's office. He's looking for you."

I looked around and my colleagues gave me weird looks.
Ignoring them all I went to Jungkook's office. On the way, I met Miss Song. The current secretary of Mr. JEON JUNGKOOK.

She came running towards me and hugged me.

"Thank you so so so much. I am so grateful to you Miss Y/n. You're a goddess. Because of you now I am not burdened any more. I know the work which you're going to do is really difficult. And at times he's really a pain in ass. But I know you will do it well. I wish you good luck. And once again, thank you."

She said while getting really happy. And left me confused. I thought about her words on my way.

"Why was she so grateful to me? What did I do?"

I shrugged it off and knocked on the office door. I entered after hearing a low 'come in.'

I saw Jungkook sitting on his seat while back facing me.

"Mr. Jeon. I am here."

He turned around slowly towards me.

"Welcome, Secretary Lee. Sit down."

I got confused and looked around to see if he was really talking to me. Well the there was no one else other than me.

"Yes, you only. Come sit."

I sat hesitantly on the seat in front of him.
"A good news for you. You're my personal secretary from today onwards." My eyes widened with utter shock. "What?"

I stood up shouting with my widened eyes. I was processing what he just said. No, this can't be happening.

"Why me? Did Miss Song do anything wrong? You should give her a second chance. Why would you simply fire her and keep me in her place? I am fine with what I am doing. I am not capable of being on such a high position. Miss Song is best for this job. Please don't do this. Moreover, now she will be jobless."
