(If you just read the previous chapter, I hope you got an ad before this chapter loaded.)
It was Awata. She's not armed or powered up, but rather in dark, covering clothing. That's a first.
"Why follow us, Awata?" I asked, letting go of Keigo, stepping forward to her instead.
"I'm sorry Midoriya. Nighteye made me. He said it's suspicious how easily you became number 3, and to follow you, and see if there was anything bad mentioned. I told him he was wrong, but he made me go anyway. But see, I knew it was nothing. He's just being dramatic. But I have to ask, what is Hisashi's secret? I already have it all on recording. So if you were to not answer, it seems suspicious, and bad for you. I hope you understand."
I don't panic, as since I realized someone was following us, I was prepared for her to have heard the whole conversation, which is why I watch my words when in public. This is easy to play off. I would just dispose of her, but that'd be too suspicious. I won't say the truth. But I'll make it believable enough."Hisashi has a weak spot. His eyes. And you're probably thinking, that's a common weak spot. Yes. But his eyes are similar to those of a reptile, making them more sensitive, because there's no mutation that helps balance them out. I don't have his reptilian senses, as I far as I'm aware, but I do have sensitive eyes. And I've worn them out, by not protecting them. He mentioned it the last time I visited him, and suggested I fix that before I go blind, or retain serious eye damage. Which is why I asked Aizawa today. Satisfied?"
Awata nodded, and smiled.
"I knew I could trust you."
I smile back and she leaves, stoping her recorder.
Hawks looks makes me face him.
"What was that?!" He asked.
Genuinely confused I respond,
"What was what..?"
"Your smile. It wasn't your usual one. Nor was the look in your eyes. It appeared more.. sinister. She's probably not close or observing enough to have noticed. But I did."
"Dunno. Why look into it?"
"You had killing intent, didn't you?"
"Mhm. At first, then I weighed it out saying that's a bad choice. Why?"
"I thought you were okay with her?"
"It wasn't ever personal. Just a coworker. Strictly professional feelings. Which in my case, means none. I'm friendly with her because she's friendly with me, otherwise, I wouldn't have even looked her way if I didn't need to."
"So if you had to, or had the chance... you'd kill her? Just like that?"
"Keigo, I thought we were over this? Yes, yes I would."
He sighed.
"We are over this, sorry. I was just checking, because the last time you appeared close to her, but I see I was wrong. I'm used to your lack of morals, trust me. Like I said, I'll minimize your killing, but I won't judge otherwise."
"Good. Now let's keep going."We arrive at my house and I can tell both Inko and Izuku are home, before walking in. Lovely. I haven't seen Inko in about 8 weeks, and haven't spoken to Izuku, even in school. I sigh, and open the door, as I always keep my keys on me. The cop cars are still here. I guess they've been patrolling every since that press conference before I returned from the League's capture. What a waste of their poor time.
"Do you want me to go in with you, or no?"
"You don't need to. I can handle it. But if you want to meet them, I'll tell you when to come in."
"Aww, you'll let me meet the whole family?"
"I'll change my mind, Keigo."
"Okay okay, I'll wait here." He sits on the porch. I enter and I see Inko sewing in the living room. She looks up and stares at me, frozen.
"You've grown.. just like him." She says, eyes wide.
"I don't have time for this. I'm getting my shit and leaving. I don't need to put up with you anymore, Inko."
She tries to throw her pin cushion at me, but it stops in front of my face, floating. That telekinesis quirk of mines, however it works. I grab the cushion, and I drop it on the ground, then walk upstairs. I hear her get up behind me, but I don't stop.
"Onee-san.. I mean, Y/N.." Izuku said, when I was entering my room. I look at him from the side of my eye. I don't respond to him, and keep walking, as I have no time for such nuisances. He stays in his rooms doorway, as I go around my room and pack up whatever I want to take with me. Mainly the rest of my clothes and small trinkets, as I already have all I need back at Hawks from when Nejire had given me my duffle bag.
When I finish packing, he stops me from leaving.
"What is it?"
"All Might told me, to ask you about our dad."
"Hisashi Midoriya. You're smart, do your research, or ask that hero of yours. Goodbye now."
I pushed past him. He follows me downstairs but I walk out. He keeps the door open, "Wait-" he stopped when he noticed Hawks waiting for me.
"Oh. Problem child number 2. Hello, nice to meet ya." He said, standing.
"Hawks-San? Why are you here?"
"To accompany your sister. She works for my agency, as the number 3 pro hero, you know?"
Izuku looks at me.
"You're a pro hero...? And why'd you leave Nighteye? I was joining his agency, after I get my provisional liscense."
"Then I made the right choice to leave." I said, then turned my back, before he could say anything else.
