Life had been going in her favor over the last year and a half. The now twenty-two-year-old had been offered a more prominent role in the HBO show 'Euphoria.' She's currently working on a world tour that would be set for the beginning of summer. She's been focusing more on acting. Even her relationship with Sabrina was doing quite well, excluding those painful periods that they still had now and then.

The Emmy Awards will be held next month, and the closer it got to the date of the event, the more anxious River grew. She couldn't believe that she had gotten this far so earlier in her career. Sure it was just a nomination, nevertheless, she was still excited that people really valued their work enough for nomination. As of right now, the young star was suspicious of the way life had been for her so far. Each time she'd bring that up to someone, they always told her not to worry about it and how she should be happy that things were this way. Regardless, River couldn't help it.

How could she?

Last year may have been one of the most draining years of her life. Every time she turned around, it seemed as though she couldn't catch a break. And now that she has, River couldn't help but feel as if something would happen sooner or later. She just wasn't sure whether it would turn out good or bad, but that would be something for her to deal with when the time came. But for now, she might as well enjoy this as much as she possibly can.

Right now, River is getting ready for her and Sabrina's interview together. She had told Sabrina that she would be there to pick her up around 1 in the afternoon. It is now 12:40 PM, and she's rushing to make it out of the door and into her car. Quickly, River makes adjustments to her hair and makeup before grabbing her keys, yelling out to her siblings that she was leaving as she left, and heads to her car.

By the time she reached the blonde's home, it was 1:10 PM. When pulling up, she finds that Sabrina is already outside waiting for her.

"Took you long enough," the blonde says as she hops into the car, shutting the door.

"Oh, shut up." River playfully rolls her eyes as she drives off onto the road. "How have you been?"

"I've been good, but guess what?" Sabrina giddily replies, bouncing up and down in her seat in excitement.

"What?"

"Guess."

"Uh, you're a brunette?" River says, laughing when Sabrina smacks her in the shoulder but not hard enough to distract River as she's driving.

"I thought you were done with that."

"Never have, never will, sweetheart." River quickly glances at her with a bright smile on her face. She misses. the way the blonde's face reddens at the pet name she was given. "But seriously though, what is it?"

"Do you remember that movie I auditioned for?" Sabrina grins.

River nods her head. "What about it?"

"I got the part!"

"That's great! I'm so proud of you!"

"Thank you, I'm so excited," the blonde replies with a giggle. The conversation veers in a different direction as they continue to their destination. After thirty minutes it dies down as River pulls into the parking lot of the building. Once she had found an empty parking space, they both got out of the car and made their way to the entrance.

"You ready?" River asks.

"Of course," Sabrina replies with a smile, sending her a nod in gratitude when River holds the door open for her to enter. Both women internally shake off any feeling of nervousness they feel as they are greeted with open arms.
