The day Kasai Todoroki died was the day that part of Japan stood still. His final fight against Overhaul was broadcasted all over Japan, along with his death. The people who were effected most were those of Rock Bottom. They heard that Kasai was to partake in a raid and watched the news hopping for some news of his raid, but they were never expecting to watch his death. After his death Rock Bottom began planning his funeral. Shortly after his death the ranking ceremony for heroes was held, and Kasai was ranked number three since he was a licensed pro hero because of Nezu. It was thanks to Rock Bottom he had this ranking.

For Kasai's Funeral a public one was held but it wasn't the true funeral. This funeral for the public was purely for show while the real one was held privately in Rock bottom. The funeral was being held at "Shisha O soncho suru" cemetery. Everyone from Rock Bottom attended along with some heroes.

A preacher walked up to the stand next to Kasai's grave. He had someone standing by him with an umbrella to block the rain. He placed a small book opening it. In front of him were people sitting down in chairs or standing all holding an umbrella. He held his hand in front of his mouth before clearing his throat getting everyone's attention.

"Ernest Hemingway once said, "every man's life ends the same way. It is only the details of how he lived how he died that distinguish one man from another". This can be said about Kasai Todoroki, he was once a lost man seeking purpose. He found it in helping those of Rock bottom from crime, and themselves. Even though he suffered he was able to show empathy and compassion to those. To everyone in Rock bottom along with some outside of it, he was seen as a hero but Rock Bottom will always see him as family. Kasai Todoroki was a good man, one who stood for justice and peace. He died the way he lived, saving a life so that they could live a better life. Rest in peace, and now that your sacrifice was not in vain. You will forever be remembered, and never forgotten. amen", the preacher said closing his book.

"If anyone wishes to speak, the stand is open", the preacher said walking away.

The first person to walk up was Jun Yang. She wore an all black dress with a black veil covering her face. She stood in front of the stand with teary eyes. Out of everyone Jun took Kasai's death hard. She viewed Kasai as the kid she never had, and she was sure Kasai saw her as the mother he never had.

"I remember the first time I met Kasai. He took down some thugs who came for my monthly protection money. He left soon after and returned with some dirt along with a little blood saying he handled it. He apparently had a talk with their boss making sure they never collected any more protection money along with continuing their illegal operations in Rock bottom. that was how Kasai always was, he always looked out for the smaller guy", Jun said with tears.

"When he first arrived he had a speech impediment. I had history as a Japanese teacher so I helped him out. He would always get annoyed or upset when he couldn't learn a word, it was like a child when they couldn't figure something out. Kasai always acted tough but he was actually a big softy. I remember the times he would play with the local kids, usually making things with his fire. He really showed that even though his fire quirk could be destructive their were not aggressive ways to use it. Even today I don't understand how a man like him could be so nice to everyone", Jun said beginning to break down into tears. Mr. Sato the doctor came up helping her off the stand. Soon after others shared stories of Kasai before the final part of service went underway.

After that everyone stood up as the casket was walked over to the grave. Jun was in the back following the casket. The men slowly set the casket down before it slowly lowered into the grave. Next everyone lined up and dropped a rose into the grave with Eri being the first with tears. Midoriya stood next to her wearing an all black suit, it was Jun's request that Eri come to the funeral. She thought it would be unfair to steal one last goodbye to her hero form her. Soon more flowers were thrown into grave. Everyone stood together comforting each other as they come to terms that Kasai would not be coming back this time. Soon everyone began to leave except Jun who decided to linger longer. Jun held a black rose in her hand before she held it over Kasai's grave. As soon as she let go of the flower the whole world froze.

Rain drops stood in place as the whole world went grey. Footsteps can be heard as a man in all black walked up to the grave. He looked into the grave with sadness. The man kneeled down placing his hand on the ground.

"From dust we came and to dust we shall return. I'm sorry to disrupt your rest Kasai Todoroki but another world needs your help and only you can save it. For only a monster can defeat another. I only wish you can forgive me"

I only wish you can forgive me"
