"Wake up!" I was so startled that I woke up screaming. "Owwwww! Geez you hurt my ears!" Some one said, standing next to my bed. I blinked and rubbed my eyes, I looked back at the person whining next to my bed. "Oh, Hi Chrimetimum. Sorry about your ears." I said calmly looking at her rubbing her fingers inside her ears. "Well you better be!" She snapped, hitting me softly across the face but just enough for my cheek to turn red. Now I was the one hurt, I just rubbed my red cheek a bit and looked at the time. "It's only 8:32," I said calmly, hiding behind my blankets again. "Turn off the lights and close the door when you walk out." I uttered, my voice muffled since I was under the blankets. I felt an instant coldness and opened my eyes wide. "Get up." Chrimetimum said, in gritted teeth while holding my blanket with one hand. "Give me back-my-blanket!" I declared, while trying to get ahold of my blanket. She was to fast and moved to avoid me getting the blanket. "MOM!" I exclaimed, as I shivered slightly from the cold breeze from outside. I stood up, grabbed a hair-tie from my desk next to my bed and did my hair quickly. I heard stomps from the stairs leading to my room. "Yes, Annalise?" She breathed looking at Chrimetimum to me. "I was doing my bed and then Chrimetimum came and took my blanket!" I murmured, trying to look as innocent as I could. "Chrimetimum....." my mom said in a low voice, eyeing Chrimetimum with her arms crossed. "What-but-!" Chrimetimum started, looking from me to mom. "Give Annalise her blanket and come make some breakfast with me downstairs." mom said calmly, walking out of the room and all we could hear were more stomps. I let out my hand and Chrimetimum gives me the blanket and says "You know, one day that trick is going to get old." I look at her with one of my eyebrows raised. "Then how is it that I've been using that same trick for the past month?" I say calmly talking the blanket from her hand. She spins around walks up to the door, she glances at me one more time then she turns of the lights and shuts the door. I undo my hair, hurdle back back in my bed and I start sleeping again. I don't know how long I got to sleep but it wasn't long. "Annalise!" My mom called. I took off my blankets and my blindfold. I changed into other clothes as quickly as possible, I went out of the door rushing to put my shirt on. Good thing my room is in the attic 'cus it gives me more of an excuse to take longer to come downstairs. "Annalise. You realize that were going to Aunt Patricia and Uncle Kurt's today, right?" Mom said, while putting down plates on the table and serving breakfast. "What?! Thats today?! I thought that was next week!" I exclaim, putting my hands on my head and looking at our calendar. Chrimetimum snickers while dipping her pancakes in maple sirup. "Chrimetimum, be nice to your sister." Mom says, handing me some maple syrup. "She's never nice to me." Chrimetimum utters, putting a piece of pancake into her mouth. I frown at her and eat my breakfast. I hear a slight screech and spin my head toward the noise. It's just mom, she's pulling out a chair to sit in the table and eat breakfast with us. Suddenly mom looks at me and says "You packed, Annalise, you did.....right?" I look at her with a smile with my teeth showing, she looks at me, frowns and says "Annalise! Go pack!" I gobble my food and hurry up the stairs to my room, I grab my suitcase from my closet and grab the stuff I want to take and stuff it in the suitcase. "Chirp Chirp" "Oh sorry! I almost forgot you!" I said grabbing the cage of my pet parrot. "Chirp" She says nodding her head to look at me in the eyes "Thanks." I say walking out of my room and stomping down the stairs back to the kitchen. I see mom running back and forth getting stuff ready. "Mom" I whine looking side to side every time she runs in the other direction. "y-yes? sweetie." She calls, grabbing something from the counter and then something on the sofa. "Why do we have to spend the summer in Aunt Patricia and Uncle Kurt's place?" I ask whining, slouching on a chair. My mom comes to an abrupt stop. "Honey! We haven't seen them in a while. I'm starting to miss them." She says holding my shoulder. "Do you miss that chicken chasing you and that pigeon that pooped on you?" I ask bitterly looking at her in the eyes. Her cheeks turn a bit pink and she lets go of my shoulder and says "Thats different." A few years before I was born, my aunt and uncle bought a farm. My fourth visit to them, which was when I was 6 I loved the place. I got to ride a horse, feed some goats, and milk a cow. That was fun, well it was fun when I was a kid but now its not so fun. I feel like now that I'm grown up, my aunt and uncle are taking advantage of me being there. Last time I had to collect eggs from the chicken, I had to milk the cow, I had to give food to the pigs, I had to give the horse hay and I had to clean them and they're stalls. I realize I was zoning out. "Annalise! C'mon get in the car! We have to go!" Mom exclaimed, waving her hand out of the car. I turn off all the lights and make sure I didn't forget anything. Then I walk out of the house.
