Chapter 11- Fun

SERENITY

Yet another day of school. It's my senior year, this should be pretty easy. I just have to get through the whole school year and then I'll be free. At least Emily, Sarahi, and Paula weren't bothering me. They haven't been chasing after me for a while, it's a little suspicious at this point but I'm glad that they've backed off, even if it'll just be for a little bit. Why do they pick on me? I can't even help you answer that question. Is it because I look black? Cause I'm not. Is it because I'm an Asian? Or a Latina? Have they never seen anyone like me before? People describe me as a beautiful specimen, do my bullies not see me like that? I've been learning to love myself but they just never let me think that way. They always have to bring me down somehow. I sighed and rested my head on the desk.

Faith came up to me and sat beside my desk. "Hey, you okay?" I nodded my head. "You don't look okay, Serenity. Did someone bother you? Or maybe you're already stressing yourself out?" I shook my head no. "I'm alright. Just a little headache." She nodded her head understanding and rubbed my head. "It's okay. It'll go away." "Mhm..." Faith looked around and asked "Malik's not anywhere around here, right?" I slowly raised my head up from the desk and asked. "Who the fuck is Malik? Cause his name sounds attractive as hell." I laughed. Faith laughed with me and said "It's a code name, girl." I continued laughing and said "A code name? And you didn't bother to tell me WHOSE code name it would be?" She tried to shush me "I don't know if he's around here so I don't wanna say his name out loud. Think, who would I possibly name as Malik?" Then it hit me and I whispered "Mingi?" She nodded her head fast.

As soon as I had said that, Mingi came into the room saying goodbye to someone on his phone. I looked at him, up and down, and turned back to Faith and said "He sure does look like a Malik." She nodded her head in agreement, probably not knowing what I just said cause she was too busy looking at "Malik". Mingi looked towards Faith and winked. Faith snapped out of her little daze and turned to me whisper yelling "Did you- did you just see that?! He noticed I was staring and he winked at me! He fucking winked at me!!!" I nodded my head laughing, I couldn't speak because this whole situation was so funny to me. "Oh my god, I'm dying, Faith. This is so funny." "Girl I'm about to pass out, how can a man be so hot?!" I covered my mouth to help me stop laughing and said "I told you Koreans were hot." She looked at me up and down and said "Yeah no shit, you're fucking gorgeous. God, I wish I was a lesbian. You're bout to turn me into one!"
I bursted out laughing.

Faith looked back to Mingi and he was talking with some of his friends in the back. "God, he's just so...I don't know how to describe it, so perfect? Handsome? Gorgeous? He's just my type...Gooosh I wanna know what's in his pants..." I fell from my chair at this point and started hitting the floor. "Girl you got me deaaaad!!" Faith looked at me laughing a little herself and said "Dead as a cockroach?" I nodded my head in agreement as I couldn't speak due to so much laughter erupting from me. As I was dying and rolling on the floor, I felt a kick to my back. I saw Faith give a death glare to whoever just kicked me. Whoever it was just ruined our fun.

I got up and looked at who kicked me, and to my surprise it was Sarahi. "You thought I wasn't gonna play around with my favorite toy?" I dusted myself off and said "I actually thought you had thrown yourself in the trash judging by the outfit you're wearing." She scoffed and gave me a death glare. I gave her one back and soon, her little minions were behind her. I rolled my eyes. "And here comes the minions." Faith stood up and walked beside me. She said "Sarahi. Haven't you tortured her enough? You still haven't had the nerve to try and bully me. You scared? You gonna cry when I beat you up? Go on. Cry to your momma." Sarahi scoffed again and said "You got some nerve talking to me, Faith." Faith responded with "And you got some nerve thinking you were gonna be able to bother Serenity today. Go on. Go to your seat, little dog." Sarahi responded with "This isn't over." Faith responded "I just ended it." Sarahi walked to her seat with her little minions following her. They looked like lost ducklings following the person they imprinted on.

I sat back down and Faith sat down beside me. "You didn't have to do that..." Faith started chewing on a carrot "I wasn't going to let them bother you. They do it all the time and I defend you when I can. I just wish they could stop and admire how beautiful you are. I think that's why they target you, cause you're just so beautiful. They wanna look like you, they're jealous of your beauty." I smiled and said "You really think that?" Faith nodded her head "Honey I'm positive of that." The teacher still wasn't in the classroom, maybe he was gonna be late today. I looked behind me because Sarahi usually likes to throw crumbled papers at my head. Luckily, she wasn't planning that, but she was definitely planning something else...

I saw Mingi sitting on top of his desk. Then I saw Sarahi rubbing his arms up and down and touching his hair. She was almost between his legs. I couldn't hear their conversation too well...I got up and went closer trying not to be noticed.

MINGI'S POV

Why was this girl all up on me? She's touching my hair and rubbing my arms. "Oh my, do you workout?" I nodded my head and said "Yeah, almost every day before school." She responded "Wow, you're so buff. Whatever you're doing is definitely working." I nodded my head. "What's your natural hair color?" I responded "Brown." She nodded her head and said "You dye your hair quite frequently and even add streaks in it, I was confused as to what's your natural hair. You're also very handsome..." Her fingers crept up to my face, and I honestly didn't really know what to do, so I just played it off as cool. Maybe she's just flirting with me? Or has interest in me? Her fingers caressed my face and I stared at her waiting for her to take her hands off of me.

SERENITY'S POV

She was being very touchy and flirty with Mingi. Maybe he doesn't know what to do in this situation. Maybe he needs someone to help him. Sarahi got closer to his face staring at him, obviously trying to do something to get her way. She said "Wow, you're just so handsome...your parents did a good job...you're very tall too, wonder where you get those genes from..." She grabbed Mingi's hand and put it on her waist, and then she grabbed the other and did the same thing. I looked over at Faith and I noticed her walking towards them. She pulled Sarahi aside and pushed her towards the wall. Her minions, Emily and Paula, rushing to her side. Mingi stood up from his desk, looked at Faith, and said "Way to ruin the fun, Faith."
