We'd been laughing and talking for hours on end, I still hadn't changed out of my pyjamas and he hadn't eaten anything since breakfast.
"Cyan blue is beautiful" I said
"No, gold" he replied
"Gold is such a cliche colour though" I rolled my eyes.
"No, I don't mean just because of it's value, but it's meaning. Gold can symbolise anything, it symbolises the life I'd like to live. Kids, us, johnny. We're all gold. Well, not exactly. Really young kids, like 4 or 5. They're gold. Just fresh, bright and no nothing negative or of harm. That's what gold is. We've been through too much to symbolise gold anymore, maybe if our parents were still alive then we wouldn't be in this mess. I love everyone who we live with, but to just be pure gold - nothing can beat that. Id do anything to be gold. I just wanna be pure" he explained. I sat there, gobsmaked, in a daze of everything he just said. It was crazy, but made such perfect sense. He said one thing and I knew exactly what he was going to say next. I felt how he felt at that point in time, and from then on, I was entranced by his mind. No normal 15 year old boy has such a mind. I believed he was still pure, as much as he denied it. It was as if he couldn't not be pure, he was made to just be gold.
"Wow, how did you think of all that?' I whispered. He shrugged.
"It goes around my head a lot I guess" he smiled at the ground.
"You're still gold, you know" I said. He looked at me perplexed.
"Nah, not after all this" he twiddled his fingers in his lap.
"You are though. Everything about you is still pure, it's as if you're untouched or something....it sounds weird but-"
"It's not, thank you. I'd love to be gold again, I think you're gold" he said. I blushed a little and smiled.
"WERE BACK" I heard Soda scream from the back door, we jumped up and I ran into my room and he walked to the kitchen. I stayed in there for a couple of minutes until it seemed natural enough to walk back out. When I came out, they were all there. They went food shopping I guessed, since they were unpacking paper bags. Johnny heard my door shut and looked over. Sheepishly, he walked towards me and stood in front with his head hung low.
"What are you doing?' I asked him.
"I'm sorry for being a real dipshit to you today" he said as he launched to hug me. I put my arms around him and lay my head on his shoulder.
"It's cool" I replied. I felt him sigh.
"You know I love you right?" He told me.
"Yeah, I love you too johnny" I stood back and he gave me a genuine smile. He reached for my head and gave me a small kiss before walking back into the kitchen.
I went into the living room and sat with Darry who was watching some wrestling on TV.
"How was your day Greenie" he asked me.
"Alright I guess" I shrugged. He looked at me suspiciously.
"What did you get up to" he said slowly. I looked at him and analysed his face.
"Nothing....just chilled." I answered.
"With pony boy?" He raised an eyebrow and I nodded. He nodded back and grabbed some chips off the table. Two bit joined us and johnny and pony went to talk in the room. I sat with two bit for a while who was plaiting my hair until I fell asleep.

I woke up under the duvets of my bed with the light still on. I could feel a weight beside me and I turned around to see Johnny. Pony was on the other bed and they both looked.
"What's going on" I asked
"Nothing, just talking" johnny said. I nodded and fell back to sleep, believing it was nothing
