It was just a random day when it happened. A random day when I, more like he ran into me.

I was on my way to school, I have this thing of not really paying attention as I cross streets, but I suddenly have this weird feeling telling me I should look up and then it happened. A motorcycle was coming towards me at full speed. My heart was pounding. It was like I couldn't move. I just froze. When it was a mere 6 inches away from me it came to a stop... I fell back from the fear.

"God! Why don't you watch out for pedestrians?" I practically yelled in anger while trying to catch my breath.

I looked up to see the face of my almost killer. The motorcyclist had taken off his helmet and ran to my side to, I assume, help me up. It was then that I realized it was a guy.

"I'm so sorry! Are you all right?" the stranger asked.

I just stared at him in awe. My heart was still pounding but the question was, was it because I just survived a near death experience or was it because I found this stranger extremely cute.

I had realized I still hadn't answered his question.

"I... I think I'll be ok. I just need to sit for a moment." I finally answered.

"Here, why don't you get out of the street, so we don't have a recap of what just happened." he said as he led me to the curve to sit after helping me to my feet.

After I sat on the curve for a few minutes not saying anything he spoke up again.

"Are you sure you're ok? Do you want me to take you to the hospital? You look a little pale?" He observed.

"No, I'm fine... I..." I cut myself off just as I notice he had a watch on his wrist and it read '7:07am' "Shit! I need to go." I said I stood up grabbing my purse and my binder. I yelled a quick "bye" and began walking off in the direction of my school which was only half a block away. But before I was able to get more than 6 feet away, I heard a shout.

"Hey! Wait!" he shouted, and I turned around to face his direction.

I saw him jogging to catch up to me.

"Here you dropped this." He said as he got near me. I looked at his extended hand. It was my phone which now had a huge crack along the screen.

"Oh thanks" I said with a smile

"No problem" He replied, also giving me a smile.

"Well I got to go now I'm running late. Thanks again." I said as I turned back around and began running towards school.
