Chapter 2

Matthew's POV

I took out a pice of paper and began to write

Dear father

Hey dad well you wold win that bet. Funny thing is I read your letter righ after school ended. It seems to be normal nothing really different from any other school I've gone to. Moms good shes been her usual sunshine self. Loves the new town we just moved to. I guess its ok this place at least has a forest, if you can even call it that its small at lest compered to the one back home. Im ok, just really miss you papa and home. Its fine here just not the same without you. Anyways Love you and try not to get yourself maimed out there dad.

Finished now to put it in my bag and take out my homework UGHHH

School went by as it usually did come in, sit down, do work leave. Well except for history the teacher actually assigned us a project. I sat down in my usual table to eat whatever this cafeteria had that is (I'm hoping ) edible.

"Hey Matt" Alex said using the nick name she had given me. "Oh hey Alex your here so hows life?" I asked.

"A monstrous void of darkness filled with agony and misery so same as any other day oh and i also got a new book" she said.

"Well i got a fun new project i have to do for history class so whoopty fucking do" i said in the same indifferent tone "well thats...CRAP!" Alex hissed and tried to hide herself using her book. Witch is really odd or is it just me and this is Actually common for high schoolers.

"Huh well it is but what are you d-" before i finished two guys suddenly popped up and were next to her

"Alex! Yo were you bin we've bin looking for you, we thought you'd be at the library" the boy said taking a seat next to Alex. I noticed There was another boy with him who also sat down.

"Yah i know ugh what do you want anyways" she said.

"Well you have mrs.smith for algebra right can we copy your homework" the boy with the brown hair said.

"Actually i switched classes I'm in AP now so sorry but cant help you" she said. "What your kidding how the hell did you get a schedule change?" He asked

"Easy the teachers like me" Alex said smirking. The other boy, who had blond hair tucked into a beanie I noticed had been occupied with his PSP.

"Told you she wasn't gunna help" he said without braking eye contact with his screen. Then the brunette turned to me

"hey newbie what about you you got mr.smith?" He asked. "Nope" I lied like hell I'm letting him copy me. "Fuck" he whispered "hey dude check it out" he said to the blond boy as he pointed at two guys going out of the cafeteria. "Sweet its totally a fight come on" he said pulling the other guy with him.Talk about Weird introduction

"I think he's right come on lets go" Alex said getting up. "Huh wait why?" I got up and fallowed her. "Unless you want to get trampled I suggest you fallow me because the students in this school are littrely the dumbest people ever" she said.

What did she- oh crud. I saw what alex meant out of no were their were like a crowd of people running towards us. She suddenly grabbed my arm and pulled it. Then we were both in a class room catching our breathe.

"God that was close" she panted. What the hell is wrong with the people at this school.

"Hey mr. Hiroshi"

"Ah hello miss jones how are you" i heard someone say

I looked up and saw a man presumably a teacher but you could hardly tell. He looked ver young he could pass for a student if he wasn't for his hight. He had black hair and pale skin and wore a lab coat.

"Im fine Sir hey do you Mind if we stay her for a bit at least until all the commotion dies?" Alex asked

"Of course not make yourself comfortable miss jones and---" he stared right at me looking at me up and down. I cover myself out of habit seriously why was he inspecting me with the his eyes that were behind a square framed glasses. Those intense, sharp, hypnotic, hazel eyes. I felt alex jab my arm bringing me back to reality

"huh oh Evans Matthew Evans " i said nervous. "Ah the new student i presume" he said. "Um Yes uh aren't you going to stop the you know fight?" I asked

"not my division besides I'm sure another teacher will handle it" he said.

" okay then..sheesh were did all those people come from anyways they just came to us out of nowhere in waves. Their Like zombies except really fast." I commented

"They also run to the place that lacks the most brain" Alex said then we both laughed.

"So who were those two guys at lunch anyways you all seemed really close friends ?" I asked

"Im not sure friends would be the right word to describe us . Well the boy with the blonde hair glued to his game is Max my brother. The brunette eye sore that was next to him is Nathan his beast friend. So i was more stuck with them. I guess in a way we are close considering we've known each other since we were young . Its just they are so aggravating to deal with . Alex said going back to reading her book

I looked up to see mr. Hiroshi at his desk grading papers. I wonder what was that all about when he was looking at me. Oh god why couldn't stop looking at his eyes there was something about them but what.
