nobodies POV

marinette opened her eyes slowly

yesterday's events had left her extremely tired

"morning mari" adrien smiled at her, stroking her hair as she sat up to face him

she smiled back at him, and crawled into his lap, being cradled like a baby, and shutting her eyes again

adrien placed his hand on her stomach, and gently rubbed it, as if he were holding their baby

"who are we going to tell today" he softly spoke to her, placing a kiss on her forehead

"i think my parents will be easier" she sleepily responded, giving a yawn

"i don't want to tell my dad" he sighed

"we'll have to at one point, maybe he'll surprise you, and love our baby" mari said, trying to make him think positively

"maybe, but still, do you want to message your parents asking if we could come over" adrien asked, placing his hand through his morning hair

"i will in a bit" marinette said, laying her head on adriens chest and shutting her eyes

"do they even know we're together" adrien asked

"nope, but they'll find that out too" she smiled at adrien

adrien smiled back at her, and pulled her on top of him and under their covers

they cuddled under the sheets until it came to around 11am

"i'm going to call my mom" marinette said, taking a swig of orange juice, and pulling out her phone from her back pocket

adrien nodded in agreement, as he shut his laptop

maris phone call:

sabine: hello marinette! is everything okay?

mari: oh uh hey mom yes everything's going great, just great

sabine: well that's good sweetheart, why did you ring

mari: oh uh well i uh actually just wanted to know maybe if i and a uh friend, yeah totally just a friend i mean for now at least HAHAHA anyways uh

sabine: sorry what was that sweety, you and a friend were wondering...?

mari: oh uh right yes well uh could we maybe come over for lunch

sabine: oh yes! of course sweetheart! me and your father will get ready to make you a perfect lunch!

mari: oh uh thanks mom can we uh come over at um like 12 maybe?

sabine: of course marinette, any time is perfect time for your father and i

mari: great mom, i cant wait to see you

sabine: we can't wait to see you too honey! but may i ask who this friend is?

mari: oh uh well it's a uh surprise, yeah a surprise!

sabine: *laughs* well okay marinette, see you then! love you!

mari: love you mom

marinette placed her phone down beside her

adrien came over to the sofa, and sat down with her, placing his arm around her waist, and kissing her softly

"it'll be okay mari" he said

marinette smiled at him

"but what if they don't want me? or if they stop loving me? or if-"

"they won't mari, promise" he said cutting her off

he slowly reached into his pocket, and pulled out a familiar piece of string

"i've got my charm" he whispered in her ear

marinette smiled at adrien, blushing a little

she pushed her hair behind her cheek and laughed at adrien

"well what are we waiting for" adrien smiled

short chapter! wanted to upload as i haven't recently

some news came to my family and i haven't had time to post, as i've been struggling with the news

i promise i will finish this story so just be patient for now🤍🤍
