In a quiet town of Redwater, surrounded by nature, there was a sign outside to the trail of the forest, 'Stay Out Before It Gets Dark'. And yet there were two men with a flashlight entering knowing it's off limits, however it was great to hunt the wildlife, rabbits, deer, anything with four legs, not something like vines growing out of it's legs.
As the men making they're way to lose the rest of the trail with guns, one of them holding a flashlight and turned back to the town, unable to see it as they are already deep in the woods.
"Carl I swear if you get us arrested for coming out here when it's off limits, I'll get you for this. I can't afford having Lois leaving me again."
"It'll be worth it, I found a good old buck out here when I was here. Looks so big and worth it. Besides you always get that wife of yours back."
"Not this time I'm not. Sure is dark out here, you know where you going?"
"I made a mark out here to make sure it's the right spot. Here!" The man pointed a mark on the tree, and heard some rustling.
"Get ready, time for hunting."
Another rustling coming from the other side, the man gripped his gun and heard a growl, "Damn you, Carl! It's a bear!"
"Ain't no bears around here!" Without a second thought, Carl turned around and fired at the direction of where his friend faced, heard no growl, probably took it down when another growl coming from the other side, and than big yellow glowing eyes and than suddenly the other man cried out when he was being dragged into the woods, "No! No!"
"Kurt!" The man fired whoever was dragging his friend away, only to fire at the man's legs, blood flying out, causing Kurt to scream, "You bastard! You stupid piece of shit!" Than he was dragged away, with his scream and cries of horror stopped, Carl gripped his gun closer and was tackled down by the body of his friend, eyes out of his socket, the right side ripped off, blood pouring out, Carl screamed and pushed off his dismembered friend and ran, with whatever was behind him, growling and roaring.
"No! No!" He turned around to fire at his chaser, his eyes widen to the sight of a monster with vines, attacking him down and slashing his right side of his face, the man fell down, gasping and groaning in pain. Blood pouring down, his right arm almost torn off, seeing bone, he screamed, he stood up the best he can and ran, not caring about the pain, nor the fact that his friend was dead, he ran but not far when his back was clawed, he gasped and tripped to fall on his right side, screaming in agony due to the pain. He turned to see some glowing eyes, growling, he was hyperventilating, grabbed his gun and pointing at whatever that thing was to him, fired at it and used his gun for strength, running the best he can to get out of the woods he was not supposed to be in at night. Once he found light, the smile on his face fade away with blood flying, his left leg being clawed off, causing him falling down and screamed as it echoed through the woods with glowing eyes peeping out.
Zinnia's POV
I can't breathe, I can't breath, I opened my eyes and I immediately felt my heart racing, Sweat pouring down and found myself back in the box! Water filling in and I tried to break out but it seems impossible. With my arms feeling heavy, unable to control my breathing as water was rushing in and eventually the box was filled with water and I screamed.
Only to open my eyes in instant, I'm in a room, dark, boxes everywhere, I slowly sat up, my heart is racing, I felt movement, I turned and softly sighed and smiled, Issac was next to me, sleeping, and heard a yawn. I turned to the corner and found Sadie, our Collie slowly getting up and heading over to me as I got out of bed, tying up my blue hair in a bun.
"I'm okay, girl. Just a dream." More like a nightmare. I checked the time and it was almost 3 in the morning, great. For the past three years, I seemed to be having the same recurrent nightmare, being back in the box that Richard placed me. Placed me to die but I escape, I survived. However he didn't. Every time I wake up, it seems it's always at 3 in the morning. I shaked my head and head straight to the bathroom, splash water on my face, opening the bathroom cabinet, grabbing the bottle.
'Melatonin supplements'. Insomnia is a bitch. I sighed and closed the cabinet to freaking jump by the sight of Isaac!
I dropped the bottle and luckily it wasn't open, "Isaac! You know not to sneak up on me." He surprised me with a gentle kiss, I couldn't help but smiled and softly hit his chest.
