Thank you @bellamariac for this idea. This is a two shot, so the next part will be the end of it.

"Felix, I want you paying attention to our guests. If we can get along, it would be beneficial for both of our kingdoms, and you may find someone to spend the rest of your life with." Queen Amiele told her son.

The prince, Felix, gave a stiff nod and kept his eyes on the door that was bound to open soon. "Yes mother."

Queen Amiele gave a small smile to her son and faced the door along with him. She knew that her son was going to comply with her orders. Their kingdom needed someone to rule the land, and since her husband, Felix's dad, had passed away, they were in need of the heir to marry someone. "Bring them in." Queen Amiele said slightly louder than her normal voice. In walked a man with a girl Felix's age.

The girl had tan skin, with green eyes. She was wearing a ruffled, belted, orange dress. Her hair was in three ponytails, a large one in the back, the elastic holding them close to the end, while the other two were small ones, towards the front. She had bangs, making it difficult to see her eyes a little bit. The man she walked with had on a traditional suit, nothing special, as to not upset people with what his people would wear.

"King Mateo." Queen Amiele said, giving them a smile. She stayed sitting in her throne, even as the two that just came in got closer. "Princess Lila." The princess faked a smile and waved to her.

"Please, just call me Mateo, Queen Graham de Vanily." He said, taking his hand out for her to shake. She put her hand in his and nodded. "As long as you call me Amiele."

The two shook hands, while Mateo took the back of her palm and placed a kiss on the center. "Charmed." The two teens that were forced to watch this, gagged, having to watch their parents display affection to some stranger.

Princess Lila turned attention towards Felix, wanting to take her mind off of their parents. "I'm Lila." She told him, holding her hand out.

Felix, who didn't even want to talk to the girl, let alone touch her, didn't bring his hand out towards her. "Felix." He deadpanned, turning his head towards the side where there weren't any people. Lila scowled, not getting the attention from him, but was quick to replace it when she saw that their parents were starting to look over at them. The only thing she didn't notice was that Felix caught a glimpse of that scowl.

"Now that introductions are done, I suggest we go somewhere more comfortable to talk. Wouldn't you all agree?" Amiele asked, rhetorically. Her and Felix got up from the thrones they were sitting on and walked beside the person in the room that was in their age group. "Follow me." Amiele told her guests.

On the way to their destination, the adults made small talk, spending the time to get to know the people they were with. Lila tried, making up stories about meeting other princes and princesses, just to get his attention, but he paid more attention to the floor than he gave to her. He didn't believe a word that came out of her mouth.

They made it into one of the smaller living rooms they had in the palace. They all sat down, Mateo and Lila on a couch, Amiele on another, while Felix sat in a lounge chair around them.

"So, as of our kingdoms," Amiele started. Felix didn't feel the need to listen, he wasn't old enough to control anything, so he drowned out the whole meeting. He was spaced out, thinking about what his life had come to to meet those two. He wasn't aware of how much time had passed by, but his mother brought him back into the real world. "-what do you say Felix?" Amiele asked him.

Felix, turned his attention towards his mother. He didn't know what his mother had been saying. "Yes mother?" He asked. But she didn't hear it as a question, but rather a statement. He looked around and saw everyone with smiles on their faces.
