War of Magic {DISCONTINUED}

Chapter 1

Hey! You decided to read the story, huh? Well, thanks, because this is my first story that I'm writing on Wattpad. Get ready for cringe people! Also, can you all give me some feedback on how to make my writing better? I want to be a good author, and I can't be one without taking some feedback.

"I can't believe we're doing this..." Cheryl whispered. "She's just a child,"

 Mark sighed. "We don't have a choice. I'm magic, you're human. We aren't supposed to love each other. Now that we have a child... We have no choice."

Cheryl wiped her tears. "It just feels so cruel to abandon a baby like that. She's so vulnerable, who knows what could happen to her?"

"She'll survive. I don't know how, but I can guarantee that she'll be fine." Mark said.

"CHERYL! WHERE ARE YOU?" Said a voice. 

"Mark, we need to hurry! That's my dad, if he sees what we're doing--"

"Don't worry, I got it." Mark gently placed the baby on the floor, using magic to hide her. "Let's get out of here now."

Mark ran off, but Cheryl stayed behind a bit longer. "Goodbye..." She said softly. "Lily."

Lily was running for her life. A bag of groceries weighing her down, it was hard to dodge the attacks coming from the humans. "Come back here!" A human shouted. Lily didn't answer; she just kept running.

"Stupid Aaron, always getting me caught--" Lily grumbled. Aaron was like a human alarm system. He always seemed to know what Lily was doing and where she was. Maybe you could let me handle this? Said a voice in her head.

"Shut up." Lily said. Being part human and magic was not easy. The human part of Lily lived as a voice in her mind, always wanting to take control. But she couldn't let it happen again. Not after it made her kill so many innocent people.

Lily spotted something in the distance. The cave! The place where she lived! But when Lily got closer, she realized it wasn't what she thought it was. A magic was creating an illusion, and that did the trick.

Lily was now surrounded. With nowhere to go, she was captured. Lily sighed. It hadn't been the first time she'd been captured, so she was sure she would be able to escape easily. But what she didn't know, was that they had been prepared.

Lily was now trapped in a dungeon that she didn't recognize. Of course. After putting her in the same prison over and over again, they must have learned something. "Hey there, Lily." Said a familiar voice.

God, not him... Aaron came into view. "Did ya miss me?"

"I would say yes, if you weren't such a jerk." Lily replied calmly.

"Feisty today, aren't we?" Aaron said playfully. Lily saw something behind Aaron's back, but she couldn't tell what it was.

"Look, why are you here? To taunt me? To brag about your 'rich' and 'wonderful' life?" Lily snapped.

"Well then, I guess you won't be needing this?" Aaron held up the keys to Lily's cell. So that's what he was hiding!

"Wait, you were going to help me?" 

"As much as I don't want to admit it, yes." Aaron replied. "I'm surprised myself, considering your... history."

I can't believe I'm about to do this... "Aaron, please give me the keys. I'll do anything." Lily said. She didn't want to resort to this, but she had no other choice.

Aaron laughed at the vulnerable state Lily was in. She growled at him like an animal. Aaron's eyes suddenly went wide as if he'd just remembered something. "Here." He said, slipping the keys through the bars of the cell.

Lily was surprised at how easy it was to get the keys. Lily opened her mouth to say thank you, but Aaron was already gone.

602 words-- Not bad, but I feel like I could have done better. I'm still happy cuz this is my first published chapter! Hope you enjoyed this cringe, I will work on the next chapter as soon as I can.
